Here is the email I received: Angela has asked me to write to you to let you know what has happened. Alden has passed away and Angela will be leaving tomorrow morning for Atlanta because her mother has had to be sedated and her brother is incredibly distraught. Please pray for her. He has lost his wife and child and must be hurting beyond words...Elizabeth Earlier: I just got a horrible call that my neice Alden stopped breathing she is on way to hospital. My mother was giving her cpr the phone she dropped it we don't know how the baby is or my mother all that was heard was the ambulance. Ok dad just called Alden is not said to be ok yet they are unsure how she'll be. My mother also is gone to hospital she passed out after ambulance left and another had to come back to get her. So please pray that they make it through this. For the time being it seems Alden and my mother are ok but nothing is for sure yet. So pray pray pray. We need prayers. Also my mother wrote today to say: Alden was weighed the other day and with her clothes on they said she probably worked out to weighing about 10 LBS and length almost 21 inches. This means she is still taking small bottles and needs feeding tube but it also means she is getting stronger and better all the time. Roger is apparently very tired and worn down. He has his ups and downs but trying hard to be strong. Your continued support and prayers mean the world to our family. Thankyou. Angela UPDATE: 10-03-03 Alden is now 5lbs 10ozs yeahhhhhhh but although she is gaining she still isn't taking in drinking all by herself. I learned stage 2 means she takes a couple by herself the rest is a feeding tube. Roger says that they say it's slower than normal her progress on this but he has high hopes she will soon come around. I really believe the prayers and well wishes and strong positive energies have helped. *hugs* Angela UPDATE: 9-29-03 Alden is once again stage 2 which means she is off of the feeding tube let's hope this time she can remain off of it. My mother got there yesterday says she has her work cut out for her. Alot has to be done and before baby comes home. Roger has his bad days and his good days and they say Alden can go home when she gets to 6 and a half pounds. So let's hope she can continue drinking on her own and that she continue to grow. She truly is a miracle child. They would like to have her christened when she comes home from hospital. Wish I could be there but glad my mother is able to be there. Anyhow that's the update. Thanks again for your love, prayers and faith, Angela UPDATE: 9-19-03 Just to let you all know Alden went from 3lbs 6ozs to 4lbs 2 ozs and things have been going pretty positively. Roger got a 2 bedroom townhouse has been working hard. He seems to be doing a little better emotionally but still has his up and down days. He still is getting things set up for when baby comes home. My mother will be there on the 28th I believe of this month and back January 7th which is when I hope to go down. He plans to have her christianed when she comes home from hospital. She will be wearing his christining gown he had as a baby. Now for the other news. My mother told me today Alden has had to be put back on the feeding tube. She is not taking in enough and we haven't heard that she's gained anymore weight. Hopefully she will pick up and start eating enough. I will be so much happier when I know she is totally ok. Angela UPDATE: 9-11-03 Alden cried for the first time yesterday apparently her legs are very tender from IV's ect but she is now 17 inches long and thriving. God works in mysterious ways I pray he helps me find the finanaces to go help my brother and that his heart will gain strength everyday and Alden will be home soon. On a sad note Roger has now lost Spencer his natural father came and took him. He and Spencer were not happy about this. Roger is struggling financially and needs to get back on his feet but is trying to be strong. He definetly sounded better today when we spoke. I will be speaking to him again real soon. I can't wait to go there and be by his side and see what I can do to help him. September 03, 2003 12:13 PM My brother was hard to talk to last night hearing him cry just killed me. I just bawled when I got off the phone. Our family is just beside themselves. I want to go be with him and told him so and he said ok just give him a little bit to sort things out. Baby is on ventilator I think he called it and on meds and hopefully she is going to come through this. Tara was able to hold her once but wasn't able to recognize her because she couldn't really see her. She was not able to be an organ donor because her organs had all shut down. It was so hard hearing my brothers tears. I can't stop crying. I feel so helpless right now. Then trying to deal with my mother who is just beside herself scared for him and not able to go to him.
