UPDATE: 3-17-04
Again today, Cheyenne felt GREAT all day, but a little nausea and stomach ache started late in the evening just prior to bed.
Today Cheyenne planned on big sis Diana doing something really fun and special. Well, I'm not sure how the ball got dropped, but when I called home to see what "fun" thing they were doing, Cheyenne told me that they were washing Diana's car. Ha!!! I don't think Cheyenne was too thrilled about it.
Donna and I spoke about it and decided to do a little something special after we got home, just to make up for her borrrrrring day.
Donna came home before me, and Cheyenne REALLY took advantage!! Apparently Donna did not read my journal entry too well a few days ago. Also must not have read Kody's mom's (Kim) laughs and jokes about it. Anyway, Donna asked Cheyenne to go outside with her to do something. While outside Cheyenne said, "here, hop on the go kart and I will give you a ride!" It was off to the races!!!!!! Donna said Cheyenne had that little mischievious smile, and kept going, and going, and going. Down to the gate and back, through her trails, twisting and turning, on and on. Sound familiar? Same thing happened to me a few days ago!! The little stink! Now who needs the Zofran?????
My name almost became mud in Cheyenne's book this evening. We had told her that after work, we would take her to Mr Gatti's for pizza and games. Well, guess what, I had to work late, reallll late! I finally got home just in time to rush to town and get there just before closing. Fortunately for me, it all worked out
Tomorrow we are in San Antonio for routine Dr appointments with her Oncologist. We are confident no surprises will pop up, as Cheyenne is doing better than anyone could ever imagine. God is really blessing this little girl and this family.
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. Please remember our friends, Jake, Maxie, Michael, Kody, Jackson and Corinna in your prayers as all are experiencing medical complications or problems. Also, Fisher and Celeste have the tentative results of their tests. GREAT news!! Our God is an AWESOME God!!! Again, Thank you and God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-15-04
Other than a few "bumps" in the road, Cheyenne had a really good day today. She had her stomach ache and nausea moments, but they do pass fairly quickly and she still makes up for it in between.
Today was a pretty busy day as well, although we didn't really do anything. This morning was church followed by our regular "after church" meal at a restaurant. The rest of the day was spent visiting Cheyenne's Grandparents near Paint Rock. It had been awhile since we had seen them due to all the flu and sickness we had for a couple of weeks. We couldn't afford to pass it on to them. I noticed while we were there that my dad had a big time with Cheyenne. Drawing pictures, talking, etc.. And Cheyenne's hugs and smiles were pretty free flowing. I think they had fun!!
The weekend is gone, and tomorrow is another workday. UGGGGG! The good news is that Cheyenne is on spring break so her and big sis Diana have all kinds of plans for the week. Then we do have a regularly scheduled doctor's appointment in San Antonio on Wednesday. We are not expecting any surprises, as Cheyenne continues to do very well. Next month will be the MRI month. I am sure there will be some tense moments in between with the MRI jitters, etc..
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children.
God Bless you all

Today John and James Bouligny came over and gave Cheyenne that BEAUTIFUL floral arrangement. When she asked "Why?". They said, "Just Because!". Is that not the sweetest thing you ever heard of? Now I have no clue, but I do know that this little gesture sure cleared up all the cheerleading sadness that was going around!!
Today was a pretty normal day. Cheyenne felt great all morning and afternoon, and Mom, Diana, and Cheyenne drug Dad all over town shopping. Well, maybe a little exaggeration, but we were in town shopping for over 4 hours. For me, that is a LONG time! This evening Cheyenne had an onset of nausea and stomach ache. Right now she is not feeling very well, but we are hoping it will pass quickly.
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-13-04
For several hours this evening we had a little girl with a big broken heart. Cheyenne found out just before school let out that she did not make the Cheerleader team. Cheyenne really, really had the moves and the cheers down perfectly. But, life is not fair. Fifty percent of the score is by the instructors etc. on how well the girls do the cheer. The other fifty percent is basically a popularity contest with the students voting. Since Cheyenne is only in the 6th grade, we knew that the 7th grade girls would have a much better chance, and that was just the way that it was. Hopefully next year!
I have no idea what is planned for this weekend, but thank goodness it is the weekend. This was the loooongest week.
Next week we have Cheyenne's regularly scheduled Doctor's appointment in San Antonio on Wednesday, right in the middle of her spring break. Cheyenne isn't very excited about that.
Please remember Jake and his parents in your prayers tonight. Jake and his mom, Susan, have been the inpiration to sooo many parents of children with brain tumors. So many of us would not be where we are if not for those wonderful people, the support, the caring, and the inspiration that they gave. Now they need us. Need I say more. God Bless you Big Jake, Susan and Mark!! We love you guys!
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-12-04
We could get used to days like today!!!! Another GREAT day for Cheyenne. She is so hyper, I don't think she would feel bad for anything.
Hyper, Hyper, why you might ask? Tomorrow morning is the Cheerleader tryouts at school! Since I have been home from work, it has been CHEER, CHEER, CHEER!!! Lots and Lots of practice, over and over. Each time, Cheyenne calls either mom or dad and asks if we want to see it. Well, what can we say? Of Course!!! And I might add, she is REALLY good. And her former cheerleader sister Diana came home from college today. So she is helping her little sis out on all the moves.
Wish her luck tomorrow!!!!
Our very, very good friend Jake is really in need of prayers. So please say a prayer for Big Jake tonight..
Also, beautiful Celeste has an MRI coming up monday, so join me in praying for an EXCELLENT scan.
Thank you everyone, for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-11-04
This morning happened to be a zofran morning, but I believe Cheyenne wanted it more as a preventative than feeling really bad. It has been 3 days since the end of this round of chemo, so a little tummy upset is expected.
Cheyenne said she had a really good day at school today, with the exception of a little nausea toward the end of the day. But a little nausea could not get her down for a second, since today was the Cheerleader practice tryout. She would not have missed that for a thousand dollars.
After getting home from practice, I knew her tummy was bothering her a little, so I suggested a ride on the go kart. Well, old Mario Andretti put dad in the passenger seat and off we went. It was down the road, through the pasture, over the hills and through the brush. She got a few laughs out of dear old dad holding on for dear life. And you know what, the nausea went away just in time for a big dinner topped off with a milkshake. We'll put some weight on this kid yet!!
Our family had a miracle of sorts today. When Christopher and his family came back from Alaska, they took one of the dogs from our house to his. It seems that about 2 1/2 weeks ago, someone let him out of the back yard and he has been lost since. We have done an ad in the paper, picture on the Humane Society web site, many, many miles of driving around looking, etc.. Today when Donna called the pound for her daily check, they informed us that they had seen our dog yesterday at a certain intersection in San Angelo, but could not catch it. (The dog is a three legged dog, how hard is it to catch?) Anyway, a quick trip to that side of town and there he is, sitting at the intersection as if just waiting for us. Smiles today replaced those tears for Cheyenne over the past 2 1/2 weeks. Jessie is pretty happy to be home too!!
Well, two more days until Cheerleader tryouts. Cheyenne keeps telling us that she knows that she won't make the cut, but she wants to try anyway. Can you imagine how happy this little girl will be if she makes it??
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. You all are part of our miracle in progress. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-10-04
This morning the ride to school with Cheyenne was one of those rides. Little Miss Cheyenne had a lot to say and dear old dad listened alot. I believe she covered every subject there is, from politics to music. It was a good ride as Cheyenne was feeling good.
When I came home from work this evening, I walked into the house and Donna said that Cheyenne was out saddling BlackJack. Well, I know that Cheyenne is 12 going on 21, but she is really too short to get the saddle on easily by herself. BlackJack is a pretty tall horse. By the time I changed and got out there Cheyenne had the bridle on and was working on the saddle. Quite the little independent stink!!
While Cheyenne was riding BlackJack, I was working with the sheep near the horsebarn and I started watching Cheyenne as she was riding. She would walk Blackjack and sing, "This is the way that boys ride, this is the way that boys ride, etc..." Then she would break into a gallop and start singing, "This is the way that girls ride, this is the way that girls ride, etc...! Ha, the things that go through her head!!!!
This evening Cheyenne's stomach started acting up a little. She has had about 30 to 45 minutes of upset stomach, but refuses to take a Zofran for it. Tomorrow is another Cheerleading practice, and then thursday or friday is the tryouts, so I hope the stomach thing doesn't get in the way.
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. You have no idea how much support you offer for the parents and children when you visit their sites, include them in your prayers, leave little guestbook entries, etc.. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-9-04
Today was another very good day for Cheyenne, no effects from the last round of chemo, still feeling good, and living a normal 12 year old life. She did pull a muscle in her back sometime today, and is suffering from it tonight. I believe she was doing a cart wheel or something. Hopefully she will be able to get out of bed tomorrow!
Cheyenne spent the day at school, ending the day with the Jr High Cheerleader Clinic. This was a mandatory clinic for all girls trying out for cheerleader for next year. I believe final tryouts are later this week.
Tonight it has been homework and cheerleader practice, all night.
For those of you wondering about the little lamb, it is alive and doing well, still spending the nights in a box in the house, and even though her mother accepts her, she does not nurse. Soooo, it appears as if Cheyenne will be playing a mother role for awhile.
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. I would like to ask you to please remember Jake each time you offer a prayer over the next few weeks. Jake is a very special boy that has beat all odds fighting the same tumor as Cheyenne. Now he is battling the effects of the treatment that modern medicine uses to treat this tumor. He has beat the odds before, and with the Lords help, he can do it again.
Thank you and God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-6-04
Today, Cheyenne's third day of chemo on this round, was a very good day for our little girl.
We overslept a little this morning due to an electrical outage and alarm clock malfunction, but still made to school before the bell rang. The trip to school was one of those I often talk about. Cheyenne was smiling, her eyes sparkling, and we were talking about everything in the world. She felt good.
This afternoon just before 5pm, Cheyenne called me at work. She told me that she was just calling to tell me that she loved me and missed me. Of course, I wasn't born yesterday, so I asked, "And what else?" Well it seemed, that she did love me and miss me, but the primary reason for the call was that she was really hungry for Chinese food. Well, lately, anytime that Cheyenne is hungry, we take advantage of it to put a little weight on her. So I told her I would be home in 20 minutes, and we would go eat anywhere her little heart desired.
It seems that tonight, her little heart desired the Mathis Field Cafe. Very good chinese food, and also very inexpensive. Cheyenne was about 1/2 way through her egg roll, 1/2 order of fried noodles, and a full order of Hon Sil Pork, when she suddenly stopped eating. Her mom looked at her and asked if everything was ok. Cheyenne said, "I don't feel so good." Just about 10 seconds later, Cheyenne said, "OK, I'm, not sick anymore.", and went back to eating. Chemo is a very strange thing!
After eating, Cheyenne wanted to rent a movie and make a family affair of watching it at home. If you have never seen "Radio", it is really awesome. It brings about every emotion you can muster. But, as I re-learned during the movie, parents of children with BT's and cancer really shouldn't watch emotional movies!
Just before the movie, Cheyenne presented Donna and I with a hand made certificate that I have to share with you. The certificate, signed by Cheyenne says: "This Certificate is awarded to Donna and Roy Fiveash for the highest reward of Best Parents Award. Given on the this day of March 5, 2004." That was worth of few hugs and kisses.
Cheyenne had a cough free day until lying down to sleep just a few minutes ago. So she is improving every single day from this flu or whatever it was..
I am anticipating a very good day tomorrow. We really don't have anything planned, but as long as Cheyenne feels good, it will be an AWESOME FANTASTIC day.
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. Of course, our Lord Jesus Christ is the most important thing in our life, and prayers are what keep us going from day to day.
Thank you and God Bless you all.

1 DAY OF CHEMO DOWN, ONLY 4 MORE TO GO THIS ROUND
Today was the start of another round of chemo for Cheyenne. So far, so good. She was a little droopy a few minutes ago, but with all that she has done today, it probably has nothing to do with chemo.
We were all up early again today and off to school. It seems to be getting a habit of getting to school with minutes to spare, rather than seconds to spare. I have been making an effort so that maybe she would eat breakfast at school as well as at home. We really would like to put a few pounds on this girl.
I understand that she dedicated her time between getting home from school and when I came home to creating more cards, letters, and pictures for a few of her caringbridge friends. She is becoming a pretty good artist.
When I came home from work today, Cheyenne met me at the door, singing and dancing. Apparently she was feeling pretty good! Then before I could even get changed, she pulled me out the door to the trampoline. She just had to show me some jumps for cheerleading tryouts.
After coming back into the house around dark, it was homework, homework, homework, until bed. I have learned more tonight about finding areas of triangles and polygons than I ever wanted to know.
Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. Also, if you would, say a little extra prayer for Jake and Maxie. And be sure to thank the Lord for Emily's continued healing.
God Bless you all

UPDATE: 3-3-04
Cheyenne awoke this morning feeling great and ready to tackle the day. We actually arrived at school 10 minutes earlier than normal.
This afternoon, as I was meeting the school bus to pick up Cheyenne, I saw her through the window, looking at me and smiling from ear to ear. She worked her way toward the front of the bus, and spent a few extra seconds at the front before stepping off. There she was, grinning from ear to ear, her eyes sparkling, and in her hand was a HUGE musical instrument case. It was so big she could barely get it off the bus. Cheyenne is now learning to play a Baritone Horn!! It seems that at the first of the school year, when Cheyenne was out of town undergoing treatment, the school band was formed. When she started back to school, she wanted to participate, but there were no vacancies. Today, one of her very good friends, James, talked her into asking again if she could join. Well, actually, James asked Cheyenne if she wanted to join, to which Cheyenne says "Yes". Knowing how shy that Cheyenne is, I believe James did all the talking for her. So, Cheyenne is now in Band class.
Oh, in case you have never heard a baritone horn, believe me, it is LOUD!! I mean REAL LOUD! The poor dogs and cats around our house have no idea what to think. Little Cinnamon cocks her head with one ear up and the other down, and just stares at Cheyenne when she is practicing.
There is never a dull moment around the Fiveash household. Let's see, this past weekend, Cheyenne decided that she was going to start Rodeo, and has me getting her horse all ready. Yesterday Cheyenne decided that she was going to try out for Cheerleading. Then today, the Baritone Horn. I can't wait for tomorrow!!
Thank you to everyone for checking on our little girl, and for so many of you that offer prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. When you say your prayers tonight, please say an extra prayer for Maxie, Jake, and LaKota. Also please remember Ross Joiner's family during this very difficult time.
Thank you and God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-2-04
This morning Cheyenne was out of bed and ready to go to school a little earlier than usual. She seemed a little anxious to go, and it was not until after school did I find out why. Today they handed out the paperwork to try out for the Junior High School Cheer Leaders. Cheyenne says that she is definately trying out.
The practices and tryouts are the 8th and 10th, which just happen to correspond to the dates that her chemo will probably be making her feel her worse. But there is no keeping her down. When we explained this to her, she just said, "O Well!"
After school today (when we weren't doing homework) Cheyenne was out on the trampoline practicing her jumps and kicks.
Cheyenne seems to be feeling a little better each day. I am not sure exactly what kind of virus that she had, but one thing is for certain, she was able to get over it alot faster than dear old dad. I am still having days that I can barely get out of bed.
I still really don't feel worth a hoot, so I am going to cut this off short again. Thank you to everyone for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. Please remember Maxie and Jake in your prayers tonight along with Ross Joiner's family.
Thank you and God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 3-1-04
This morning Cheyenne did not feel so well, but after allowing her to get a little additional rest, she was ready to face the world.
This afternoon was her end of Basketball party with Coach Slate. It was held at Mr Gatti's Pizza, and I understand that there was a lot of pizza eaten and games played. All the girls came home with a beautiful trophy. Also Cheyenne was awarded "The Most Determined Player" award by the Coach. Again, Thank you Coach, and Thank you girls for a wonderful nonforgettable season!
Cheyenne and I have been doing a little homework this evening, and she just advised me that we WERE NOT THROUGH! So, I will cut this short and get back to the homework.
Thank you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all. None of us could get through this without you all.

UPDATE: 2-28-04
Friday, February 27, 2004 11:47 PM CST
Today was one ACTIVE day. It is now almost midnight, and we are just getting home.
We promised Cheyenne something special today, so we left the house this morning around 10am, and spent the ENTIRE day at the San Angelo Stock Show, Rodeo, Carnival, and Exibition. The ENTIRE day!!!
We had sausage on a stick, fresh squeezed lemonade, cotton candy, popcorn, and TWO funnel cakes. Cheyenne rode almost every ride at the carnival, and many, 3 or 4 times. We ran into Coach Slate, Christene, Hanna and Stan soon after arriving at the carnival. So Christene and Cheyenne were off to see how many rides they could ride and how much of their parents money they could spend on carnival games. You know, there are some pretty good bargins at carnivals. For a mere $10 to $20, you can generally win a $1 stuffed animal. HA!!
When our two families were just about totally exhausted and the kids weren't smiling quite as much, we left the fairgrounds for about an hour to grab a bite of REAL food. Of course, after sitting in the cafe for an hour eating, Cheyenne was all rested up and ready to return to the carnival. This time around we met the Berry family. Then it was Jordan and Cheyenne off to the races to attempt to ride every ride at least 2 more times.
Fortunately for mom and dad, we had bought tickets to tonight's rodeo at 7:30, so we were able to pull the kids out of the carnival to make it to the rodeo where we could SIT DOWN.
Now I have to comment on the rodeo. The rodeo in San Angelo has always been a major annual event. This rodeo is in the top 10 in North America, and so all the big name cowboys are here. But, this year's rodeo was really something special. It started with a very special and wonderful prayer (now how many public events start that way?) Then instead of just having an American flag, they had the LARGEST American flag in the WORLD! It was unfurled by military men and women representing every branch in the middle of the arena area. It was SO LARGE, it almost filled the entire arena floor area!! Then the activities and events were absolutely the BEST I have ever seen. The people responsible for the rodeo this year had said that they were changing a few things. Well they did, and it was fabulous!!
Following the rodeo, we again went out into the exhibition/carnival area, but not to ride more rides, Cheyenne wanted ANOTHER funnel cake!! After making short work of the funnel cake, we were finally enroute back home. On the way back home Cheyenne informed us that she has decided what athletic event she was going to participate in. She is going into RODEO!! I was afraid to ask her if she just wanted to do barrels or if she was going to ride bulls.
On the way home her mom asked her what was the best part of the day. You know what she said??? "Just being with you guys!" Now is that sweet or what?
It is late and I am VERY tired, so this journal is long enough.

UPDATE:2-27-04
This morning it was cold, cold, cold for West Texas. It looked like a winter wonderland driving all the way to school. Everything was white with a heavy frost and ice.
Cheyenne woke up feeling great and had a very good, excellent day at school. The teacher did not use the overhead projector, and NO headache..
After school and work, Cheyenne decided to break out the go kart. She hasn't been on it for a while. She was a regular Dale Earnhart Jr, racing around the house. You could see her smiling face everytime she drove by.
When I came in from feeding all the animals at the Fiveash Zoo, Cheyenne had a little surprise. She was making dinner for the three of us. Chicken Alfredo, with those little folded napkins on the table and everything. She even insisted on serving us, made coffee for mom and tea for me. Ice Cream for desert. Now to the best part, Cheyenne had 2ND HELPINGS and ICE CREAM. At the last Dr appointment, she had lost 1 1/2 lbs (probably from the flu). Now, hopefully she is going to reverse that!!!!
Afterwards, Cheyenne drug me into her room for several games on the XBox, and then back out into the living room for a board game. Cheyenne realllly loves board games, and Dad reallly don't. Oh Well!! What we do for our children!!!! Also Cheyenne spent awhile being an artist, drawing a few things for cards to send out to a few of her friends. She is quite the artist!!
Tomorrow Donna and I have taken off work since Cheyenne has the day off from school. We have a special day planned for her, but I don't want her to read this and ruin it.
Several of our friends have special needs tonight, so please take a little time to pray for these wonderful children and their families. Jake, Emily, Maddie, the Joiner brothers, Maxie, and Matthew and sweet little LaKota (I don't believe I have her site linked as of yet). Some of these children are having scans, Dr appointments, or tests, while others are experiencing difficulties. Also, HOW ABOUT Fisher's MRI?? FANTASTIC!! Also our bud Kody Bear, GREAT Dr appointment!!!! Thank you God for those answered prayers!
Thank you all for the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 2-26-04
Does everyone have a busy schedule like we do??? It seems like there is something to do every minute of every day.
This morning Cheyenne and I had a wonderful trip to school. She was feeling great, smiling and happy. There were snow flurries in the air, but it wasn't too awfully cold. The closer we came to her school, the bigger the snow flakes became and there was actually a dusting of snow on the ground and in the trees It was beautiful and gave us a lot to be thankful for and to talk about.
Cheyenne says that she had a great day in school, at least until the afternoon class with the overhead projector. She says that taking notes in the dark, and looking up at the projector is what is giving her the headache. Fortunately, soon after getting home from school, the headache diminished without having to take anything for it.
This evening Cheyenne and family went to church for a youth sponsored baked potatoe dinner with toppings. Cheyenne was helping serve and made sure that mom and dad had our tea glasses full to the top.
Following dinner, we attended Ash Wednesday service where Cheyenne was one of the Acolytes. We sat right behind her and the other Acolyte during the service and I could not help but watch her. She was listening, taking notes, smiling, and looking as healthy as any 12 year old girl. We have been so blessed with her healing. She really is a miracle in progress. Over the past few weeks she was pretty pale in the face and had dark rings under her eyes. Tonight her beautiful face had color and her eyes were sparkling. How I love that girl!!!
The bad news of the night is that by the time we got home, there was no time to do homework/makeup work for school. AWWWWWW!! Oh, Well, twice as much tomorrow night.
Several of our friends have special needs tonight, so please take a little time to pray for these wonderful children and their families. Jake, Emily, Maddie, the Joiner brothers, Maxie, Fisher, Kody Bear, and Matthew and sweet little LaKota (I don't believe I have her site linked as of yet). Some of these children are having scans, Dr appointments, or tests, while others are experiencing difficulties.
Also, I don't know when I am going to have time to redesign this website, but there are several links that I intend to add. One of those links is to the Tumbleweed Foundation site. It is a very worthy site in honor and rememberance of one of our special angel friends, Julia Levy. If you haven't visited it, the address is www.tumbleweedfoundation.org . Until I add a link, I believe you will have to copy and paste the address in the address bar. Also, Cheyenne is one of the featured children for february on the site. By visiting, you can meet a few more of our friends that we visit regularly, but don't have linked here yet.
Thank you all for the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all on this Ash Wednesday.

UPDATE: 2-25-04
Today Grandma B. and Aunt Ne Ne flew back to Milwaukee. So, it is a little lonely. It was sure great having them here, Aunt Judy too!!
Cheyenne attended school all day, and from what she has said, had a great time. Today, however, marked the 2nd day in a row that she came home with a horrible headache. She seems to think it has something to do with a particular class at school where they are using an overhead projector for the past 2 days. She has gotten the headache in that afternoon class for both days. Headaches for BT children are a scary thing and we parents always imagine the worse.
After getting home, and taking an ibuprofen, we made it to her last basketball practice of the season. Saturday will be her last game. She is really a little sad about that.
Tonight, thanks to Cheyenne's Chemo Angelo Lori, Cheyenne, Mom, and Dad are all decorated with little blue angels. Angel Lori, who is the most faithful chemo angel in the whole world, sent Cheyenne a little mail cheer today, which included a pen with an angel stamp on top. Cheyenne thinks this is so neat, and is stamping everything, including mom and dad.
When Cheyenne was opening her mail tonight, which included several Get Well cards and letters, we had a little discussion about how such a lucky little girl she is. Sooo many people, many who have never even met her in person, care so very much about her. Cheyenne smiled that sweet smile, and said, "yep, I am really lucky".
After basketball practice, we were able to knock out a little math homework. Now, let's see, at this rate we should have all the homework done by, say, 2005.. No, it is really not that bad. I expected a lot more. Fortunately, Cheyenne is pretty smart and we get through the homework fairly easily.
Tonight, there are several of our friends that have special needs, so please take a little time to pray for these wonderful children and their families.
Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. Our God is an awesome and merciful God! God Bless you all.

YEA!!!!CHEYENNE MADE TO SCHOOL AGAIN!!!!!!!!
It has been a long 2 weeks for my pumpkin, Cheyenne. First the chemo taking its toll, and then that horrible case of the flu, but she is on her way back to the happy little girl that we know and love. She is still no where close to 100still tires fairly easily and coughs quite abit, but slowly but surely she is rebounding. Today she was able to make it to school after amost 2 weeks. Of course this does present a problem. Can you imagine the homework and makeup work involved after being gone almost 2 weeks? UGGGGGGG!!
This evening was Cheyenne's sister in law, Jodi's birthday. To celebrate, Michael and Jodi had us over for a wonderful dinner and birthday party. Cheyenne was able to spend the entire evening with her nephew and niece, Bryce and Alyssa. Lots of fun, computer games, and laughs took place.
Oh, I almost forgot. Today Cheyenne received a wonderful package from her very good friend Benji. Cheyenne said it was just like getting part of Biloxi, Ms in the mail. Thanks Benji. We love you. Stay healthy and have lots and lots of fun. You made this little girl happy today.
Tomorrow Grandma B and Aunt Ne Ne are heading back to Milwaukee, Wi. We wish they could stay a little longer, but they are off to the land of the cold!!!BRRRR. Oh, did I fail to mention that it has been in the 70's here for the past week or so!!
Each and every night I have to thank every one of you for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. I truly mean it when I say that we could not do it without you. Prayers are such an important part of our children's healing, as all healing comes from God.
Thank you all and God Bless you all.

UPDATE: 2-23-04
Today was a really low key day for Cheyenne and the rest of the family. Cheyenne awoke this morning feeling good, still a little run down from having the flu for a week, but feeling better than she has been.
After church, it was just a lazy day sitting around the house watching TV and playing board games. She finally fell asleep on the couch around 8pm.
Tomorrow we hope to turn into a School Day. It has been so long since Cheyenne has been to school, I hate to even think about all the makeup homework. UGGGGG!! So if anyone out there wants to drop over tomorrow night and help, just give us a call..HA.
Also, this afternoon I am feeling much better, so hopefully I will return to checking on a few of our caringbridge friends a little more faithfully.
I want to thank everyone for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. God Bless you all.

Today turned into a really special day for Cheyenne and family.
This morning we were up early and after making one more round through the Give Kids The World Village, cleaned up the villa and checked out. The morning was taken up by doing a little shopping, and changing out rental vehicles from the Make A Wish vehicle to one in our name. By the way, for those of you in West Texas, it probably rained another 3 hours on us today. And I mean rain where you could barely see to drive.
This afternoon we loaded up our rental vehicle and took a little trip to Leesburg, Fl where we met with the coolest family in Florida. That's right, we spent the afternoon and evening with the one and only, the very famous (or is it infamous), KODY BEAR!! (I just realized that I forgot to get his autograph.) And of course, we had the distinct pleasure of finally meeting and sharing several hours with Karl, Kim, Kolin, Kyle, and Kaysha as well. They are a special family that provides so much support to so many other caringbridge families, while at the same time suffering through this beast of a tumor in our hero, Kody. Cheyenne, Kody, and Kaysha hit it off immediately, instantly becoming best friends. Now, they all want to live near each other. I believe Cheyenne had as much fun tonight with Kody, Kaysha and Kolin as she did on any of her previous days at the amusement parks. And by the way, for those who have not personally met Kody, he is even cuter, smarter, and cooler in person. We are already talking about the next time we can get together, either here or in Texas. In the meantime, Cheyenne has her very own Kody Bear. When they met today, Kody gave Cheyenne a big brown teddy bear with a "Kody Bear" tag around the neck. As we were leaving tonight, the hugs were free flowing. Karl, Kim, Kyle, Kaysha, Kody, and Kolin, we already miss you all..Stay healthy!!
I am not sure exactly what is planned for tomorrow, there is soooo much to do and soooo very little time to do it. Most likely, weather permitting, we will spend most of tomorrow back at Universal Studios. Of all the parks, our favorites are definately Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios. Of course, we may be a little prejudiced, as both of these parks treated Cheyenne like a princess, whereas the other parks were just so so.
Thank you everyone for all the prayers for Cheyenne and all the other children. Prayers have an AWESOME healing power. Again, thank you and God Bless you all.
