He's been haveing a few allergie problems but other than that he is doing good. We are sticking to the medication he's on right now for his ADHD. seems to be working. We are still looking in to puting him into private school for next year. His health has been doing pretty good. He's been off all week because of spring break. I am not sure if he's come down with something or if its allergies or if something's bothering him. School is going prettty good for him now that we got down the bottom of his IEP. We found out that basicaly Ian was pushed under the table. He should have been in LRC-LA also. Tommorow Ian is going to be getting a tour of a christain school. please pray that he'll want to go to this. I think he's do better in school. If he gets out of public school. Yeasterday with me and his mom and some cub scouts he spent 5 hours doing care packages for soliders over seas. To bad we didn't have the camera he was haveing lots of fun. This is dad updateing this time because Ian wanted me to all up date you from his last doctors appoinment. Ian's been haveing a really hard time focuseing in school and keeping on task. He him self also said this. Plus he's mood. So we went and talked to his doctor about it and then a mental health doctor. Well they think he my be ADD. Which could explain alot for the way he's been acting. Plus his boigical father is Bi- Polar. and we where trying to rule that out. So the doctor said lets try to put him on some Add medictions and see how that works. Right off the bat I said any thing but ridolin. I am not for that medication. Ian was at frist up tight about starting his medication for it tonight but he took it and told his friend/ that is staying over. To please not tell any one else but I my get sleepy befor you and this is why. So he was up front with his best friend about it. Ian just told me last week. "dad i don't want to have mental problems." Why me? I really didn't know how to react to that. Kinda got me down in side. I told him son. you are not mental we just all have things in are brain that don't click right. Just like I do with my parkisons. I told him dad don't always like to take his medication for it but he knows it helps some times. So then Ian took his meds. So please add Ian in your prayers for this new challenge. The doctor put me on some mediction and it seems to be helping me a little. I know when I get sick dad gose nuts because he worries about me so much. Thanks dad. I just am writeing to ask for prayer for the family that Ian's adoption process gose threw. we have to put 1,850 down and if its not contested it will cost a total of 2,850 if its contested then its another 150.00 per hour the lawyer works on it. Some of you my know the case with Ian's biological father. He's a monster and he needs to let Ian go on with is life. He just got off a week of grounding for going off on me and his mom. but this week he's been doing pretty good all and all. Ian's doing really good. We have been busy. Had a long trip out to michigan for christmas and spent time with my side of the family and then drove back. Ian really needs alot of prayer. Its not because of health. Its because he's going threw this stage of him being 12 and really a mouth lately. For example this morning he work up to us finding out that he was lissoning to music that we don't approve of. He was lissoning to rap but know the kinda rap a kid his age should be lissoning too. We don't mind if he lisson's to some one like Toby Mac. because his songs are christian. Well Ian bascilly told his mom that it was his room and he didn't have to fellow the rules of the house in his room. Boy did that not fly over to well. The only thing that is bothering him in the heat. Its been about in the 80's and 90's hear. Another hot summer. He's looking foward to the 4th. The guy who gave me the skates was not to smart. My dad was mad when he got to the skateing area after his Bear den meeting. Things are going good for me. I has to take a state test this week. God Bless Ian and Family UPDATE: 3-23-06 Hi Everyone. Thanks for checking up on Ian. Frist great news, well I think any way. We sat down with all 6 of Ian's teachers and talked about him. Frist theirs a plan in the works for Ian to have a friend in class help write down his home work so that he and me can read it. Plus for extra credit Ian can do his home work on the computer. Plus we found out that what Ian thought a teacher said was not what she was trying to tell him. Ian thought the teacher said he wouldn't pass the state exam because of his writeing. She didn't mean to make it sound that way. She was trying to tell him. That sure she can understand his writeing but if some one else read it them they may mark him lower. His scince score on the state exam for 5th grade was 11 points from passing. but his scinces teacher told his that was great for a kid comeing from the 5th grade to the 6th grade because not alot of them get a 388 on it. We are also trying to find out from his band teacher the helper that told Ian that he was ADD and needed to be put on medication. I won't go their with my feelings on meds for kids with ADD. You are a very sick person when you leave that kinda think on a kids web site. Ian has been fighting a sickness this last week. He's been fighting really hard to get to school and not take a day off because of ilness. He's doing very well in school. He's traying very hard. We have a parent teacher meeting comeing up with his teachers on monday on how to help him out with getting his home work written down so he don't feel rushed Ian on his next court of hounor will be getting his Frist Class rank. I am doing good. I have been a little sick, so I have been a little tired also. I had a busy weekend last weekend. I went for some den cheif training. Ian and Family UPDATE: 3-1-06 Hi everyone. This is Ian. Thanks for checking up on me. I am doing good. My mom and dad are doing great. My scout camping trip was a blast. I was in my patrol tent with my friends. Ty, Jeff, and Victor. Victor is are senoir patrol leader. He's the oldest scout in troop 123 and he'll be eagleing soon. I am hopeing to eagle when I get 15. The way I am going my dad and my scout master think I will. Well on are camp out we where in tents. We had a camp fire. We did all are cooking in a dutch oven. Its this metal thing where you put ass up against it and it heats up and you can cook with it. Its really cool but heavy for a small guy like me. My patorl cooked baked bean's and ekle meat. and for break fast we had SOS. During that night we spent alot of time around the camp fire and just talked. We also played in a lot of snow. We also went river fishing and I didn't get any thing. None of us did. This weekend. I am going to be takeing den cheif training. I am looking foward to it. He's got a lot of photo's to download from his camera so we should have a new photo like every week. My asthma has kicked in again. I hope I am not comeing down with something. So I can go on my snow camp out this weekend with my troop. My patrol is doing what is called patrol camp out. Which means the patrol is in one tent. Its called the buddie system. My dad is going to be in his tent that he's had sents he was in cub scouts and boys scouts. My dad is a eagle scout. I wan't to be like my dad and get my eagle also. But I know it takes a lot of hard work. I have still be watching the winter games. I am also in to watching American Idlo too. I love that show. My swimming lesson's are going good. I am doing better right now but I still have to stay in the class I am at right now. But I'll get better. School is going pretty good. I am staying after school some days to do what's called a "home work club.". It helps you with your home work when your grades are down.. I raised my one grade in English for just showing up. He had a blast this weekend with his boy scout troop. Me and his mom went with him. Mom had to be in a different cabin then us because females can't sleep in the same area as the boys on a scout outing. We did a lot of planning and change of leadership. Ian didn't get any thing so he was up set but one of the older boys told him not to be up set about it that he'll always have next year. Ian did get to cook for the troop, he loved doing that. He helped make SOS. We won't go their with what that stands for. Its biscut and gravey for the ones that have never had it. We also had smoke turkey for dinner that the adult leaders made. Ian and Family UPDATE: 1-28-06 Hello Everyone This is Ian's old man doing his update for today and he's going to take back over tommorow. Ian is doing much better. Sure his asthma is still bothering him but he's finely getting over this bug thing thats going around. You know when Ian's sick when he dosen't even want to go to a scout meeting. We are hopeing he gets to go skateing this weekend. If he dose I'll make sure I take the old camera. Ian's lung doctors apointment went really well for him being sick. This was a stomach thing so it didn't effect his lungs much. He did a breathing test and he set a personel record. Which means he did really well. He got a new neb mask because the other one broke. We are trying to get him to take all his meds. He's been kinda stubrun about it this last year. He won't take his nasel spray which helps him with his allregies because he says it hurts. But it dose help him. So of you guys can all sign his guest book and encurage him to take his nasel spray maybe some extra supprt from friends would help out. Knowing Ian he would want me to send all his love to all his friends that have checked in on him and also for all his sick friends and the ones that are fighting cancer. Just wanted to let you know that we thought the little guy was getting better. He got feeling better last night but then this morning he crashed again. Ian stayed home from school. His asthma is bothering him. We have to go to his lung doctor on thursday for a emergency appointment. His main doctor is kinda new to the team of 5 doctors Ian see's and isn't us to his lung troubles to when its bad he referrs him to his lung doctor. His neb mask isn't working right so if he gets any worse it will be a trip to er. Uselly if we make a trip to ER that means that things aren't good. We will keep you all posted. Monster trucks is my favorite thing. I got to go a round to alot of trucks and talk to their drivers. My favoirte is Grave Digger. Its a really cool truck. I love to watch them do tricks. My nose had been bothering me the last few days. I have been fighting a mini cold. School is going pretty good. The person that teaches me the flaute at school is really mean. Frist we are asking prayers for a family friend named Jay that has had some not so nice things said to him and his mom on his careingbridge site. Ian and Jay have a specail friendship. They have adopted each other as fair away brothers. Ian heard that Jay and his mom where being scent nasty e-mails and bad signs on his gustebook. So please left Jay and his mum in pray that the eivl person did this don't get to them. Ian asked to have that part added. The photo of me, is me in a fighter jet at a musem. It was really cool getting to get to sit in a seat of a fighter jet. My favorite stunt jets in case no one knew is the Thunderbairds. I hope some day to meet them. I had a chance to last year but I was at scout camp. Maybe this year. I wasn't up to much today. I stayed saturday night at a friends house and we stayed up and played play station. Then my dad and mom came and got me and we went and did a little shoping with scome christmas money I got. I really haven't been up to much to day. Other than playing with my friend Ryan. He's one of the kids that I am Den Cheif to in tiger cubs. Theirs not alot of kids in the area that are my age. If their are any their really mean. I uselly spend alot of time with mum and dad doing stuff. My mum and dad cleaned house today. I uselly try to hang out with Ryan then because dad when he gets in to cleaning he really gets in to it. Dad's the cook in the house. Mum dose sometimes to give dad a break seeing he cooks all the time at work but if something gets out if place in his kitchen, its like the world is comeing to a end. I go back to school tommorow. I am kinda looking foward to it. My last day if school is June 15th then we are on summer holiday. My mum already said that if the teachers say that I should do summer school, she said no because she dosen't want me to miss out on stuff for scouts. My troop my be going to Alaska or I my go to my grandparents on my dads side to Michigan for scout camp for a change. I am hope next month that I become patrol leader. We are haveing elections for that next month. I am a really well like scout by the other scouts so I may become one. We'll have to see. I like scouts because no one ever treats any one mean and if they do the adlut leaders step in really fast if not the jouner leaders will frist. My bigest dream would be able to go to Austirla for scout camp but I know that would be a long shot because it cost so much to go their. Hugs Ian UPDATE: 1-2-06 Whats up everyone! This is Ian. I made it back safely from my trip to my aunts. My dad's a safe drive so I never worry. I was a sleep on the way back. We spent last night at my grandpa peterson's. Then we came back home really fast because my dad's meds started worning of and he started to get sick. But this morning he was fine. Must have been because he as picking on me. I wanted to wish all my firends and new friends that come and vist me on careingbridge I big happy new year. I want to thank everyone for sending me cards and gifts also. Number of people that sent me stuff shocked me so its hard for me to thank you all one at a time. But thanks for all of you that did send me something. My parents are both fighting a cold. I think I got one that I am fighting to. but I don't let it stop me from the stuff I do daily. I caught up on all my e-mails my dad saved me for when I got back. I love my cell phone my dad got me. I know I have to save up and get my own cards for it. but its so cool because it show's dad that he can trust me when it comes to that kinda thing. but i don't give out my phone number to any one I don't know unless I clear it threw dad or mum. He would like to have more prayer support when he is haveing troubles. Comments: Ian, is 9 years old and is a strong child of god. Even when he's sick his sprits are up. He's always helping out others. He helps me out with a on-line minstery that we have. Ian has made alot of good friends minstering to them. but Ian isn't always 100% healthy. Right now he's been home for a week with a high temp. Under bed rest and watching to make sure his lung don't colapse again. A year ago Ian was put in the hosptail. We found out that he had a colasped lung. Seeing me son in ICU was the hardest time for me. With being a parimedic and being told what happened I thought the worse. I think he was in like for 3 weeks. Maybe more. He was also a premie. Ian is a Webelo in scouts. This is his frist year. Next month he's hopping to get his patch for Webelo's. Ian likes baseball, hockey. He loves the water and ships. Ian has 3 cats. He loves playstation. We have 2. He loves family movies. Loves to get e-mail. He likes to read.
