Thank you crystal UPDATE: 7-31-05 Hello sorry about not cominng in and updating about kyle. kyle has beening in the Hospital for a few days he was so sick on Monday when i took him to his family doctor and he said that kyle needs to be put in the hopital so he called kyle heart doctor and both said that some thing so kyle was put in on Monday night and the doctor did alot of blood tests on kyle one of his meds that kyle has took for about 5 year was not working right for kyle it was like he was getting to much in his body. So we took kyle off of it and now he is feeling a little better now he come home on Thursday around 3:30. But is back like he was back in April and we are Hospice people are coming back in so kyle dose not have to go back into the Hospital because hospice can do what the hospital can do for kyle like IV meds and blood work that kyle needs she come do it for kyle so we can keep kyle happy and what kyle was kyle needs to get doctor said if kyle was to stay in his wheelchair leth him and if he was to stay in bed that is ok too. Kyle is on Oxyone most of the days now. And the doctor said that we are doing all we can for kyle health. let him do what he was why we have him. Becasue the doctors are telling us that kyle can be here for a day or for a year. We got some good news from his doctor's on monday he said that kyle's heart is back to like it was before he want in the hosp and that is so cool that it is like this. But the doctor said that kyle's heart is still weaker and it will keep getting weaker and weaker and that if kyle would get sick his heart will get back like it was this time. But the doctor said to keep kyle doing things like he has done for years and when kyle heart gets weaker but it will not stop all ot once it will take time before it stops working at all. But the doctor's said that kyle looks good and he feels good and that is a good for kyle to stay like this. Because kyle loves going to school and going shopping and going out to eat and the doctor said keep this things up and kyle will be ok for now. This is the frist time we get to talk with this doctor that has seeing him for over 10 years and he said that kyle heart has beening like this for over 5 years now and that kyle still looks good and he said that the doctor who said this things to me he said that he will take care of it and that you cannot give a time on this like this becuase who know how long like he said that kyle could have 2 days up to 5 years who know. But the doctor said that is would be good to have Hospice to come in and check up on kyle. And to help me to. Kyle is very happy to have all of this very sweet people who care alot about him and who love's him so much and kyle loves all of the Dale Jr pictures that his friends has better in for him. Kyle is very ok today. He has got alot of rest and he needs this alot now with his heart getting so weaker. We had a meeting at school on Tuesday we have cut his days in half he will be going from 8:00-11:00 and we will have to see how kyle is feeling in a few days if he is getting to tried we will cut back more like a few days a week not all week. And the hospire is coming out 1 time a week now to check on kyle and ask if he needs somnething. UPDATE: 4-10-05 hello, this is mom crystal i have so very bad news about kyle. He was sick for over 1 1/2 and we not gettimg better and on Thurday night he was vomitting alot and i called his family doctor and he said that kyle will be ok and if he was not better that we need to call his heart doctor so that night he was still vomitting alot so i called his doctor and the said that i need to take him to the ER so that kyle's doctor could check him out and kyle was so weaker for vomiting he put kyle in the hospital and we did some blood work and a chest xray and the xray come back ok and so did the boold work was all ok. And then kyle had so test on his heart and that was the problem it is his heart and kyle getting so weaker now that he heart so slowing down alot and the doctor said that kyle is on all of the meds that he can take for his heart. So i called his doctor's and we are going to set up a time for kyle to go and talk with someone about this and hope that they can help kyle out more then i can. Because kyle asked me things and the only thing i can do is cry. And i am going to get some help to i thank this will help me out alot. Kyle is doing good in school he got 2 A's and B's on his report and he was so happy about it. But he said that he is going to be ok so i took him to the school football game last night for a little and the team win the game kyle was happy about that. He said that the bi-pap is working good for him and he is doing very will and that could help him out a little with him not to get so tried at school and at home so we will have to see over the next few weeks. I know last week at the football kyle hurt his arm and had to take him to get x-ray and the doctor said that he sprined his thumb and that he will be ok in about a few weeks. And we are have a meeting at school on Next Tuesday to talk more about kyle's needs becuase of his heart problems the doctor said that this would be good for kyle to only go half days because he get so tried. And kyle doeen't need to get this tried becuase he will take him about a week to get back and not like me and you a little rest and we are back doing the some thing. Kyle has a doctor app with his heart doctor at the end of Nov. But one thing kyle loves to do is go to school and talk with his friends and loves to go to football games on friday night and he like to go shopping at the mall. And we get some very news about kyle's heart he said that kyle is getting very weak and so is his heart to. He said that kyle heart was working at 65% 6 months ago but now it is only working at 47% now and he was telling me and larry that we are needing to look into a Heart Transplant for kyle so that we can keep kyle he with us. And he will talk with all heart doctor and with the Heart Transplant doctor to ask if kyle could have a Heart Transplan. Because kyle's doctors has not done a Heart Transplant on kids with Duchenne MD and he will talk with more doctors this week and will call me back on Monday. And the doctor is going to talk with kyle's MDA clinic doctors to see what is beat for kyle. But we got a 2 call and he said that he had a meeting with all of them for 3 hours and all come up with this will because kyle is getting very weaker the doctor said that kyle will not make it thew the suy. SO we will keep kyle happy and with alot of love and the doctor said that kyle can live 6 months or 6 years we do not know. Be kyle is a very sick young man all we can do for kyle is to keep him happy and pray for kyle and hope we will have kyle for a long time. I Have not said a word to kyle so if you can send kyle some cards send him happy mail and not get well cards please. We was going to tell him if that we can do the heart Transplant. But now we know that cannot have one i will not tell him because he does not need to be upset and want him to be very happy young man. He is feeling better give day that is good news to here right. Kyle had a very good time on his big day. He get alot of cool things and get alot of money. We had about 30 people here this year. kyle get alot of DVD movies and a new DVD player to he was so happy. That was cool to see his face when he opened all the gifts. Kyle get alot of cards for all the people from the site that kyle is on like over 150 cards and alot of gifts to. Kyle get a laptop for kathy she was a very sweet lady to get kyle his laptop and printer to and. I get a e-mail from Kathy best friend on Sat Aug 21 telling me and kyle that Kathy passed away on Thursday Aug 19. And he said that he was asking how to get up with ous and he want back on Kathy PC and find kyle e-mail address and when i was telling kyle about her he was crying because her and kyle wold set and talk for hour thew IM. On Monday the laptop come for kyle and Thursday the day she of death the printer come in. She was so nice to does this. I was telling her that she was a gift from god. Kyle has a few doctor app in Sep. He has a app with his heart doctor on Sep 10 and a app with his MDA doctor on Sep 15. For a 6 month check up. and talk about kyle needs if he need new things for his wheelchair and things like that. Kyle is doing very good in school and the helper that he has does a very good job with kyle and all his needs. He will be starting his OT at school 2 times a week again. Kyle said that this was ok. We had a party on Sat Aug 21 for friends and family and on Aug 23 his b-day it was me and kyle and daddy we had a very good time took kyle out to eat and took him shopping with all of his money he get some new shoes and a new playstion 2 game football NCAA 2005 and a move DVD moies he has 10 new movies that he get for his b-day. But i thank kyle is coming down with a cold so will have to keep a eye on that to. On Tuesday i had to take kyle to the doctor because he was in alot of pain with his back. So i called the doctor to talk with him about kyle back so i took him and the doctor said that he would like for kyle to pee in a cap that was a site to see so we did it and the test come back a like high so he said that he was going to do more test on kyle so here we go to the Hopstail for some bloodwork and kyle hates this very much but he did very will this test was for his liver because all the meds that kyle is on it could done something to his liver. And the bi-pap is working very will but still doesnot like it to good but kyle said that it will be ok. And it helps kyle sleep better. And the baptism went very will i am so pound of kyle. Because kyle does not like the water at all. And i got to help out with kyle bening baptisms. And i know if i said that i was getting baptised to with kyle. Kyle was asking if can do this with him a so i did that made kyle feel alot better about doing it. After kyle was baptism he was telling all the people that come up to him and was talking with him he said that god is in my heart now and forever and we are said yes he is very much so. And all the people was crying when kyle was beening baptism. I know when kyle was asking me mommy are you crying and i said yes and he asked why and i said that was a good cry and he was ok. But alot of people was asking to help with kyle. Because kyle cannot be moved to much because of the rols and wines that are in his back to the man from the church picked up kyle's wheelchair and carried it to the water for kyle. Because it had a little mad and kyle's wheelchair could not get thew it. And this was the 1 lake baptism in the lake for about 15 years at our chruch this was so cool kyle was happy about that to. Like you all know that kyle has very weak Respirtay muscles that coming from his Duchenne MD.ANd that his body cannot fight off infections as well as me and you. Will kyle is doing very well with the bi-pap. But at 1 he was hating to put the mask on. The 1 night he was up all night and did not sleep at all will for about 2 hours. And that was very hard on him. But the 2 night it was better kyle slep alot better. And kyle said that he was feeling better in the moring that is what we are looking for to make kyle feel better. Kyle is liking his 1 year of high school and he is happy to see his old friends and making new one. Kyle is has a very good man who is kyle's aide that is takeing care of kyle at school with all this needs. We are very happy that the school get kyle the help that he needs. We had meeting anf meeting about this before school and the lady over the EC classes said that kyle didnot need the help be with all the fight we had to do we get the helper for kyle that was so sad for a lady that has never meet kyle and was telling us that kyle was not in need of that kind of help. I was so mad that i had to walk out of the meeting before i said something that was not nice. We have beebibg fight this school system for a long time but we get what we want all the time because kyle needs this. And kyle is getting Occupational Therapy thought the school system and all so Physical Therapy as need the lady come and check up on kyle 1's a week but if we need something for kyle she is right over to help. The Physical Therapy from the MDA office come to the meeting we had a she was so mad at the people that was over the EC classes and she was telling them that kyle has to have this and you all know about the laws and you cannot tell me that this young man does not need that kind of help and so was the PT from the school system was not to happy about that meeting to. Will now we have ti help that kyle needs at school this year but who know a knows abot next year. Will that is all of that kyle has some doctor app's coming up he has one this friday about his bi-pap see if the levels are right for him and he has a heart doctor's app on Aug 24th to do a EKG to see how his heart is working with the new meds. Kyle said that is was feeling better and he was not feeling funny. We will have to after the tests are done and we set down with the doctor. He has a MDA App in Sep to see all his doctor kyle sees about 5 doctors that day alot for a kid to have to go thought. We have a group for this kids like kyle at chuch to kyle likes it very much we have aboout 15 kids in that group now and hope for more soon. And kyle had a very good time with the Bible school a few week back and he loved working with the small kids and he was tried every day after running after them all week and the lady over the bible school asked kyle would he like to him with the kids next year to kyle said yes he would love to. All kle's doctors app's went good. But kyle's lungs are getting weaker because of kyle's Duchenne MD and so is kyle's heart is enlarged and is getting weaker beacuse of kyle's DMD and with his age too. But kyle's pule and BP is back down the right level that is good news. And kyle has a app for a check up on July 9 to check kyle out. And about the C-pap problem i have called to set up a app to talk with them about the problems that kyle is having with the c-pap. The doctor's at the MDA Office said that kyle's lungs are to weak for that and it would be best to put kyle on a bi-pap with a vent if he needs it. And hope to here back from them this week. Will we took kyle to the beach to get away from all the doctor and people who come and see kyle. Will daddy had to a job to do at the beach so me and kyle we and had a very good time we all need this time away. Daddy works all the time and this was a way that me and kyle can see daddy. He worked on Thursday and Friday. And daddy had Saturday and Sunday we me and kyle. Me and kyle went shopping and running all over the beach that was so much fun. And we find a wheelchair that was made for the beach and and water this was the 1 time that kyle has beening on the beach in about 6 years because we had no way to get kyle on the beach but with his speacil wheelchair we can now do this for kyle. Kyle had so much fun on the beach i was crying when kyle was saying mommy can i get one of this wheelchair so that we can stat comeing back i love it mommy me and daddy was crying because kyle had a very big smile on his face and if you have saw his face you all would be crying to. The room we had was when kyle can see the beach and kyle loved it very much he was looking at the people and the ocean that make kyle so happy. Last friday with his breathing doctor the doctor said that kyle lungs are weaker because of his DMD and with his age to. The doctor did some more x-ray to look at kyle lungs. And kyle is feeling alot better that is a good thing. But his has a heart doctor in july to check on his meds. And the one too. But we are going to talk more with the doctor who put kyle on the C-pap. Because the doctor at the MDA office said that kyle is getting to weaker for a cpap and that he needs to talk with him to see about the bi-pap. But the Cpap will be ok for a few more weeks to we have that app with them. Yes kyle is haveing a very good summer home with mom and we go to moves and shopping all the time. With the money that he got for his report he get ome new games for this playstation2 and gamecube game he loves football game and raceing game he like #6 and #12 and #88 kyle is a ford man kyle said. We went over to see one of kyle's friends he has suy on his noce because his nose was closeing up on him and could not breath out of his nose. He is going very well. and his blood P is back to a good level and so is his Pules is to back down to 80. The doctor are happy about that. Yes kyle is feeling alot better and his meds is work a little bet and his Pule and Blood P is going back down it is 114/75 and pule is 87 that is very good the doctor said to keep an check for a few more days and will see him back in July for a check up. This friday kyle has a app with his breathing doctor to check out his lungs.I was going to tell you all the the Month of August is Muscular Dystrophy Awarenesss month can you please take a few mins to pray for all this kids. UPDATE: 6-8-04 Hello this is crystal kyle's mom i am updateing about kyle's doctor app this friday. The did alot of test and said that yes kyle herat is enlarged and that kyle's getting weaker every day. It is comeing from his Duchenne MD and his B/P was 145/95 that is to high for a child kyle's age and that his pulse was 120 that is to high to so he give kyle a new meds to see it will help lower his BP and Pulse and that i have to check it 3 times a day keep a eye on his breathing and i will call his doctor back this week so that we can see if we need a new plan for kyle's heart problems. It is so hard to set and here the doctor telling you that your baby is getting weaker and wearker every day with his Duchenne MD. So is about the doctor app on friday and he will go back July 2 to see if the news meds is working or not. Kyle had a app with his breathing doctor about his lungs problems on June 18. We need to talk more about the Cpap at that time. And his a app with his MDA doctors in Sep 16. That is all about the sad new that is time. Kyle last a good friend he had Duchenne MD and he was 15 year old. And kyle asked me the a hard quition last night it was mommy am i going to make it to my 15 b-day. And i said what are you asking me if you are going to god like Jason and he said yes. Because Jason didnot get to have a b-day this year. Kyle is stall having the problems with his lungs and now we have to go see his heart doctor because the x-ray looked like kyle heart is enlarged and he is having alot of breathing problems to so we are going to that doctor this week to for a check up. And kyle has beening down for a few week after his was sick. The MDA doctor said that it could be comeing from the cpap and that he will chage it to a bi-pap he said this would be the best for kyle but we will have to want to see after his doctor app this week to find out about all kyle problems that he is having. Had to chage his heart meds to see how that will would he will see his heart doctor on friday. But one good thing kyle is out of school and like beening home will me and his dogs. Kyle right lung is not working that good no more and he had 2 sets of x-ray done this week and last week. But the best thing it is not Pneumonia. But kyle has not beening running a high fever and sick but he is very tried all the time and has not beening eat that good to. So kyle doctor called me last night to tell me about the x-ray's was all ok. But the doctor said that kyle's heart was in larged and for us to make kyle a app with his heart doctor and with his breathing doctor. He can tell us more aabout this i hope. UPDATE: 5-17-04 Yes this is crystal kyle's mom i was updateing kyle's page he is having problems with his lungs and we was at the doctor's on friday and the doctor did some x-ray to see if kyle had Pneumonia but the x-ray come back ok thank god for that good news. Kyle has a fever and has a bad cold today and coughing alot and give kyle 3 news meds for this problems. Kyle lungs are not filling up with air and not working good. Kyle has to go back on Monday for a check -up to see if the meds is working. But kyle's doctor was talking about if kyle is not feeling better bye monday he be put in the Hospital i hope not because this is the last week of school for summer. kyle would miss alot of cool things this week at school. It will be over night that is all this time I am going to have to be put on a CPAP for that to. I Have 2 dogs and a frog and a Hermit Crab. I have no sister or brother only my pets. CURRENT STATUS: Hi this is Crystal Kyle's mom. Will kyle is doing very well and that is good for him. We got good news from kyle's breading doctor said that it was lookg very good but we need to keep a eye on kyle's oxgyen level because it went down in the 70's and the doctor does not wont it down that low. But kyle is ok with all of that the doctor is going to send kyle a oxygen machine so i can do that at home not in the hospital kyle liked that very much. Kyle said hi and to tell you that he has only 16 days of school to the big summer break kyle is asking to go to the beach for a few weeks i hope that we can take him. Kyle loves the beach very much. This will be the best thing for kyle. We are working on going around Kyle's B-day in August. So it is me and kyle and the dogs over the summer break. Kyle's baby Max has beening not feeling to good but we take him to the vet and give him some meds and the meds is working very well and now he is back and playing and running around with lady again. Kyle takes max and lady for walks all the time the dogs loves that time with me and kyle. Kyle has no doctor to Sep kyle said that was a cool thing. Poor kyle has a doctor for every part of his body. And we are having a IEP Meeting for kyle to talk about his classes and all his needs for high school.
