UPDATE: 2-3-07

I received a letter from Macy. She said since her surgery she feels a lot better. She is in 7th grade now and says the homework is getting harder, but she still likes school. She says she is thinking of becoming an elementary level teacher. She wanted to be a vet but says she hates math and science. Also she has a new puppy and her name is Jasmine. She thanks you all for your prayers and support.

UPDATE: 8-4-05

Macy's tests for polyps in her upper intestine and the area where the J-Pouch was put in came out ok and she hasn't developed any more polyps so far, please pray for her that the J-pouch stays clear of new polyps and she will be able to live a normal life without them developing through the years, she is only 11 yrs old.

Macy's mother, Donna, is going in for surgery to complete the J-pouch surgery on Monday Aug. 8th, her surgery was supposed to be in Sept but a new polyp has developed in her J-pouch and they need to remove it so they are doing the surgery now. Please pray for the whole family that Macy's brother and sisters will be healthy and free from these polyps and that Donna's surgery is a success and she heals well. Also pray for me, I have daycare children in my home every day and the 4 grandchildren will be with me Wed through Sat. along with the daycare. Pray that God makes me strong enough to handle the stress of it all and that His hand will be on the whole situation. Love them all but grandma is not getting any younger, lol!

Thanks for all your love and prayers for all the kids on the site, God's blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 7-28-05

Macy and her sisters and brother all had their colons checked at the hospital last week and so far Jessica, age 10, is still clear, praise the Lord! Katie, age 5, had three polyps removed, and David age 3, had 3 removed. The doctor said the polyps have slowed down now and doesn't want to see them for 2 years. Please pray that they don't develop in them any more and that Katie will not have to have the J-pouch surgery that Macy, age 11, had to have last summer. Macy is doing fine, the small cyst that they found on her brain last summer is not growing, she is still having migranes a lot but they don't want to remove it unless it grows. She is still having blood in her stools and has to have more tests on her J-pouch to see if they missed a polyp or if she has developed any in her upper intestine, which really worries me that they may have to go into the upper one and do more surgery. She is a real trooper, and when I call them she just tells me not to worry, that she is fine, but they live so far away from me and it does worry me. Donna, their mom, had a eliostomy put in last month and Sept. 8th they will put a J-pouch in her like they did in Macy. It's it a genetic disease and just seems to affect everyone from one  generation on down the line, but God has a large hand and can touch them all with His grace and mercy. Thanks for your prayers, God's blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 9-11-04

I talked to Macy's mom tonight and she told me that Macy's sister Katie had 3 small polyps and 2 or 3 large ones. They removed the small ones and are waiting until the next visit to remove the larger ones. David is only 3 and he had 3 small ones that were removed this morning. Jessica is still clear, praise God, and they all need your prayers that the polyps will stop growing and their intestine and colon will remain clear of them. Their next visit is in 6 months and Katie's will be removed at that time. Please keep them in prayer, thank you all for your prayers. God bless, Sharon

UPDATE: 9-10-04

I spent Labor Day weekend with Macy and her family and I'm thanking God over her fast recovery from her J-pouch surgery in July. She is such a mature 10 year old and is taking all that she has been through so well. Macy and her sisters and brother are recovering from colds and Macy's mom is taking them all to Kansas City for their colon checkups today, all will receive colonoscomys to see if any polyps have developed in them so far. Please pray that Jessica age 8, Katie age 5 and David age 3 will be free of any polyps in their intestines or colons and that they have not developed this genetic disease. Also that the scopes will go well, they were not looking forward to the colonoscomys, especially drinking the wonderful liquids the night before!

Thank you so much for your prayers for Macy and for her family, they mean so much to all of us. God bless you all for the love and prayers for all of the COTP kids.

Love and Blessings, Sharon (Macy, Jesse, Katie and David's grandma)

UPDATE: 7-22-04

I talked to my granddaughter, Macy, this morning and she is continuously improving, she went home from the hospital last Sat and her J-pouch surgery went well and her progress in healing has been a miracle, she said she doesn't hurt anywhere and is doing well going to the bathroom. God is good and has been very good to Macy and her family. Please pray for continued healing for her and for her brother and sisters. That little Katie will not develop more polyps and that Jesse and David will be clear in their tests.

Thank you again for all of your prayers for Macy and her family, God bless all of you.

In His Love, Sharon

UPDATE: 7-15-04

I want to thank you for your prayers for my granddaughter, Macy. God is wonderful, I talked to her mom last night and she said her surgery went well and she had just come out of recovery. The doctor said if all goes well she will be released from the hospital on Saturday. God is so good, please pray for healing and that her body wil adjust to the J-pouch surgery with no problems. Thanks again for praying and for caring. God's blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 7-13-04

My 10 yr old granddaughter, Macy, is going to Kansas City for her next surgery on Wed morning, they are going to remove the elioscomy bag and do a J-pouch surgery on her rectum so she can have bowell movements normally. She had her large intestine removed on March 5th because of polyps throughout her entire intestine, there were too many to remove, and this surgery will make her be able to live a more normal life. She is 10 yrs old and has a brother and 2 sisters who will be having their intestines checked once a year to make sure they are not developing the intestinal disease that Macy has. Katie is 5 and has already had 2 or 3 polyps removed a few months ago. Macy's mother had her intestine removed and connected to her rectum when she was 18 yrs old and she has been having polyps removed once a year since then.

Please pray for the surgery to go well, that Jesus will guide the doctor's hands and give him knowledge and compassion through the surgery and that she will be well and able to go home from the hospital and back to school soon. She is such a strong little person and is taking it all so well. She has faith in God that all will be well and I know that He takes care of them all. Thanks for your prayers,
God's blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 6-2-04

I talked to Macy this morning and her dad took her to Kansas City for her monthly visit to have her check up and they gave them a surgery date for her J-pouch surgery which will be on Wed. July 14th. They will do a 2-3 hour surgery which will involve going back in and connecting her to the J-pouch in her rectum (this is as close to the explanation of the surgery that I can come) and removing the stoma and bag she is using now. This will allow her to have bowel movements normally and not have to wear a bag. She isn't excited about the surgery at all, she just does NOT want that tube up her nose or down her throat again, this happens because she isn't able to drink all the liquids she needs to drink to clean her out before the surgery.

Macy's dad had a teaching interview closer to their home in Missouri and they have moved back to their home there. The grandkids are all very happy to be back in their old home and are excited about seeing old friends and neighbors and their mom is still in nurses training in Kansas and will have to be going over 3 hrs back and forth until Dec to finish school, please keep her in prayer in her travels back and forth through the weeks and that Macy's surgery will go well with no problems in connecting her to the J-pouch and for fast healing after the surgery, that God's hand will be on her and guiding the surgeon's hands through the surgery.

Thanks for all your prayers for her and for her family. God's love and blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 5-4-05

NOTE: Macy called me the other day and we talked for almost 45 minutes. She is such a mature little girl and I am so amazed at how she has handled all of this. She was very excited about their move and having her own room which she plans to decorate with Nimo decor. She is a very loving and vibrate young lady. I have been invited to visit with her and stay a "few days" and we have a date to see disney on ice together. I just wanted to share with you what a joy and gift she is to us all.....Elizabeth

Macy has been doing very well with her elioscomy bag since her surgery on March 5th, we are really proud of the way she is handling her situation, she is so grown up for a 10 yr old. Her dad took her back to Kansas City to have the stoma, that holds the bag, on her stomach put back in place, it was popping out and causing her bag to leak, and so far it is staying in. If it pops out again she will have to be put to sleep again to have it put back more securely. She is more worried about having the tube put up her nose again than the surgery.

We don't have a date yet for the reversal (J-pouch) surgery, probably will be sometime in Aug. Please continue to pray for her strength and attitude to stay as strong as it is now and that she will continue to heal from her last surgery. Also for her sisters and brother, that they will stay well and not develop the polyps that Macy had. They will be checking them in a few months to make sure there are no polyps in the intestine.

Thank you for your prayers for Macy and her family, God bless you all.
Sharon

UPDATE: 4-6-04

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS! Macy's dad called me last night and woke me about 11:40, excited and not thinking about the time, :), and said that there was a board meeting last night and that they had reversed their decision and decided to keep him on his job so they will not be moving and Macy's records will not have to be changed, her mom can remain in school where they are and not have to travel on weekends to go home, and dad won't have to be out looking for a new job. God is good! Our prayers were for him to find something close to their home in Missouri and for the move to go well, God had other plans for them, He made their lives easier by leaving them where they are and helping her to be able to keep her doctors and not have to start over in a new hospital.

I asked her mom if the kids were disappointed about not moving back to where they were before and she said Macy is a little because she wanted to move back there so she could have her own bedroom, lol! She has so many friends in school where she is though and I know she will be happier there. The others are ok with not having to move again, and I know things will be so much easier for them this way. They will be able to rent out the other house where they lived in Mo. and finish out the next 2 years close to their work and their doctors and hospital in Kansas.

Thank you all for your prayers, God hears us and He knows our hearts. Love and Blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 4-5-04

I talked to Macy yesterday on the phone and she is doing a lot better. She is excited about their move back to Missouri which will take place mid May. Dad doesn't have a job yet but God will move in His way and His time

When she went to Kansas City for her check up on the 30th they didn't give them a reversal date for her J-pouch surgery and I think that was a disappointment for her but she's taking it well and said they should know the next time they go for a check up. She is so strong about all of this and is doing so well with it and I know it is an answer to all of our prayers, God is taking care of her and of her family.

Thanks for all of your prayers for Macy and for her sisters and brother. Please continue to pray for them, that they won't develop this intestinal problem and that God continues to watch over them and keep them well. God bless. Sharon

UPDATE: 3-29-04

I talked to Macy's dad tonight and she is doing great! She started school again on Monday and is doing so well with her elioscomy bag and her freinds at school are being so nice to her. She showed her friends and teachers the elioscomy bag and told them what she had to do and they all wanted a hug from her and are being so understanding about it all. Dad said she has bee doing it all by herself without asking help from him, he teaces at her school so he could help her but she has been handling it on her own. Grandma is so proud of her.

On the 30th of March, Tues, she goes back to Kansas City for a check up and to set a scheduled date for her reversal to be connected to the J-pouch. Please pray she will heal fast and be ready for the surgery in the near future.

Also, in May they are moving back to their old town in MIssouri and back to their house that they left 2 years ago when her dad took the teaching job he is at now and her dad has an interview at a school near their home there on Wed afternoon. Please pray that he gets the job and that all things work out for them there. They are all excited about going back there, it's more like home to them than the small town he is teaching in now and the kids will be going back to their old friends there. Mom can finish nursing school where they are now until Dec and only be gone for two days out of the week and be home with them the rest of the week with her family when they move. God is moving in their lives and I know things will work out in His will for them. Thank you for your prayers for Macy and her family through all of this, God bless you and keep you all safe in His love, Sharon

UPDATE: 3-18-04

I talked to Macy's mom 2 days ago and she said that Macy is eating better without her stomach cramping as much. They want her to start school again as soon as possible, as soon as next week, please pray that it won't be too soon and that she will have the strength to make it in school all day and be able to take care of her elioscomy bag by herself. She is a brave little girl and very responsible in taking care of herself, we're so very proud of her in everything she has gone through so far, and I'm praying for no setbacks that will delay her reversal surgery for the J-pouch in a few months. Her mom said when they take her back to Kansas for her 2 week check they will give them a reversal date for the next surgery.

Thanks for all the prayers for Macy, we're all so thankful for all of you, God's blessings and love,
Sharon

UPDATE: 3-21-04

I talked to Macy's mom last night and she said that Macy continues to do well on taking care of her elioscomy and her stomach isn't hurting near as much when she eats, she is healing and she will be going to the doctor close to them this week for a check up and March 30th she goes back to Kansas City for a check up and to find out when the reversal surgery will take place. It was too late to talk to Macy by the time I got them on the phone but they had all gone out and Macy did fine. Grandmas love to worry.

She will be starting school again next week, please pray for continued healing for her, God has been so good to them all in this situation in giving them peace and strength, pray that this will continue and that Macy will be ready for school and for her next surgery, probably sometime early July.

God's blessings and love to all of you,
Sharon

UPDATE: 3-14-04

I called the hospital today and Macy answered, mom and dad had gone to lunch, and she said they were giving her IVs and that she was feeling better, that they were releasing her today. I pray that they aren't letting her go too soon again. I called tonight and there was no answer in her room so I called their home phone in Kansas and her mom answered. Macy was dehydrated, they were giving her 200 CCs of electrolytes and making sure she was able to eat and drink. When they left my house, grandma's, yesterday Macy started vomiting and so they went straight to Kansas City to the hospital instead of trying to make it to their home, I believe it was a sign from God that she needed to be in the hospital. She is on gaterade and seems to be drinking it well, the doctor told them to make sure she drinks gaterade and shakes to get her strength back and keep her weight up. Please pray that she doesn't lose weight and that her stomach will tolerate what she is supposed to eat and drink, that she begins to heal by the healing power of Christ's hand and that He will hold her in her arms and help her with what she has to learn on taking care of the eliostomy and coping with her health problems, that she will be able to attend school soon but not feel like she has to go back too soon. Thanks to all of you, God bless and keep you well,
Love, Sharon

UPDATE: 3-12-04

CURRENT:

I just found out from Macy's dad that they drove straight from here to Kansas City to the hospital and they admitted Macy. They are running IVs in her right now, not sure what they are giving her at this time, and keeping her for observation. Please pray that they will find out what is wrong with her, they told her parents when they released her that the reason she was losing blood is because of the surgery and I pray that they are right, but I believe they let her go home too soon and that she should be able to eat and drink without her stomach cramping and hurting before she goes home again. They are waiting to see if her hemoglobin count stays up where it should be before releasing her again. Thanks again for your prayers for her, God's blessings,
Love, Sharon

AM:
I just helped Macy's mom and dad pack the van and head for Kansas with Macy and the kids, she didn't do well last night and we think her blood count may have dropped again. It takes 3 hrs to get home to Kansas, to get her blood count checked at the hospital there, please pray for her, that her blood count stays up and that she will be able to eat without her stomach hurting, her stomach starts hurting after she starts to eat or drink anything and my fear is that she will lose weight, she is so tiny that losing weight will make her condition worse. Thanks for your prayers and support, God bless. Sharon

UPDATE: 3-11-04

Macy was released from the hospital yesterday and her mom and dad brought her here to stay for a couple of days so everyone could see her. They will be on their way back to Kansas on Friday. She is doing well so far, it still hurts to walk so we are moving very slow, but she's glad to be at grandma's and out of the hospital. Thanks for all your prayers for Macy, we all appreciate them so much and could feel them.

God bless you all.
Love and blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 3-9-04

Sharon, Macy's grandmother, called to say that they were going to release Macy today and then called back just 5 minutes later to say they had called and said her blood count dropped and she was receiving blood. Please pray against any complications and that they will not release Macy too soon. I will update more when I know more...God bless you for your prayers...Elizabeth

UPDATE: 3-6-04

We saw Macy for just a couple of minutes before heading out today. She looked good and is such a brave little girl. She is havig some pain as you can imagine with such an extensive surgery. They removed her large intestines and then contructed what is call a Jpouch. She has a stoma and will have a bag for 4 to 6 months while her body heals. Then she will return for a 2nd surgery to do away with the bag and attach her small intestines to the Jpouch. Please pray for no complications and for the pain to decrease.

I wish you all could have met her. She is just amazing and the sweetest most precious child...but then all our kids fill that mold. Her family is precious and her brother and two sisters are just a joy to be with.

Keep them all in your prayers as this will be a difficult time for them. Her grandmothers will be traveling back home today or tomorrow so please ask for safe travels for us all. Macy will be in the hospital for a week to 10 days assuming and claiming that all things go well. I will update you as I get news on how she is doing.

We thank you so much for the prayers and love.

Elizabeth

UPDATE: 3-5-04

Macy went into surgery today around 3PM or a 5-6 hour surgery. We will not have an unpdate until around midnight but will post one as soon she is out of recovery.

Macy came out of surgery and was in her room around 11PM. She was still sleeping and was on pain meds. She did well through the surgery and we hope to see her tomorrow before we leave. I will have more information for you tomorrow sometime.

UPDATE: 2-25-04

My 10 yr. old granddaughter Macy will be having intestinal surgery on March 5th and they will be removing her large intestine. She will have a colostomy bag for 3 to 4 months until this heals and then another surgery to be connected to a J-pouch so she can have a bowell movement normally. She has numerous polyps throughout her intestine and is losing blood through the polyps and is anemic. This is a genetic disease, her grandfather developed this disease after serving in the army in Viet Nam and her mother had this surgery when she was 18 and has polyps removed yearly. This disease can go on down the line through Macy's mother and her children and on to the next generation. Macy's sister Katie is 5 and has had 2 polyps removed so far, Jessica, 9 yrs old, is clear so far and David, 3, can't be checked until he reaches 5 yrs. old. Please pray for strength and peace for Macy and for her family, she is trying so hard to be prepared and to be brave and this will be so hard for them to handle with other young children to care for. They are all struggling with many problems now and much is coming against them. Pray that all goes well with her surgery and that Jesus will guide the doctors' hands and mind during the surgery. Both of us grandmas will be driving to Kansas City for her surgery on the 4th and staying until Sat. Pray for our drive there and home and for strength and peace for all. Thanks and God's love, blessings and peace be with you all.
Sharon

UPDATE: 2-24-04

Please begin praying for my grand daughter Macy. She will have surgery to remove her intestines on March 5th. She is being very brave and we all love her so very much. Please keep her covered in prayer and ask that the surgery will be a total success with no complications or errors. May God richly bless you.

Sharon

UPDATE: 11-21-03

Macy's surgery has been post poned until spring. She is on iron supplements and as long as her blood count stays up they will wait until spring. Please continue to pray for her healing and that the other children will not have this disease.

UPDATE: 9-12-03

Please pray for my granddaughters, Macy-9yrs old, Jesse-8 yrs. and Katie-4 1/2 yrs. They go to the hospital tomorrow for their scopes to check Macy's intestine and remove what polyps they can remove tomorrow and Jesse and Katie will have scopes to see if they have developed the polyps in their intestine and colon like Macy's and their mother's. The polyps they have found so far in Macy have been tested and diagnosed as Juvenile, the less dangerous kind and less likely to turn cancerous than the adult kind. This is the same kind of polyp that her mother has developed since she was young.

I talked to them tonight and they have been drinking their medicine to prepare for the scopes all day, they are little troopers and had it almost gone when I called tonight and this stuff is even hard for adults to choke down. Pray for their intestines and colons to be clear of any polyps and that Macy's will all be able to be removed so there will be no more scopes for her for awhile, that God's healing hands through His Son will touch and heal them all.

Thank you so much for your prayers, God bless,
In His Love, Sharon

UPDATE: 8-23-03

I talked to Macy's mom and on Sept. 12th Macy, her 8 yr old sister, Jessica, and 4 yr old sister, Katie, will all be going to the hospital for scopes to see if the girls have any Juvenile Polyps like Macy has and to remove all that they can remove in one scope of Macy's polyps. David can't be checked until he is 4 or 5 yrs old. In the last update I wrote that Macy will not be having the surgery on her intestine to remove it that the dr thought at first she would have to have, Praise God! Since the polyps are juvenile, same kind as her mother's, they will be removed during her scopes and she will have to have another in a few months to continue removing them. Please keep the girls in prayer that there will be no polyps in Jesse and Katie and that Macy's will be able to be removed and healed in this scope, that she will not have to return for awhile to be checked again, as these are so uncomfortable and the last scope she had was miserable for her. God's hand is on their situation, I know, and the girls will be fine. I'll let you know as soon as the tests are complete on them. Thanks for your love and prayers for all of the children on the site, God's love and blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 7-24-03

God is SOOOOOO good!!! I just talked to my d-in-law and the test results on Macy and her mom are in. They didn't need results on the other 3 grandchildren, only their mom, so we don't know if the other 3 have polyps yet or not. The polyps in Macy's intestine are juvenile polyps instead of FAP (adult that can become cancerous right away) and there is no danger that they will become cancerous soon (usually when the child becomes adult) and she is only 9 now, so the dr. in Kansas wants to see if they can be removed every few months and watch them until she becomes an adult, then if they slow down enough this way she may never have to have the intestine removed, they would just do the scope every few months to remove them.

To start out she will have to go to Kansas in a month to have as many as they can remove at one time taken, then go back in a month or so and continue this until they get them all. It will be hard on her because of the prep before they do the scope each time but this is so much better than what they thought this would be. PRAISE GOD!!!

Her mother, Donna, just had her scope done,(part of her intestine was removed at age 18) and always before she had to have 4 to 6 polyps removed every year. It has been 2 years now between scopes and she had only 2 polyps to be removed. The dr thinks her's are slowing down which would mean no more surgery for her. God has a special plan for them. Her sister, Jessica, is 8 yrs old and will be going in for her scope in a few weeks to see if she has any polyps and sister Katie is 4 so she will wait until age 5 to have her's done. The baby, David, is only 2 so he has til age 5 to be tested.

Please pray for Jessica to be clear of polyps when she has her's done and that Macy will be able to take the prep for the scope much better. She couldn't keep the tube down her throat that the dye runs through the last time they tried it and they had to try other things to prep her. Another praise report is that the iron pills are helping Macy, her count has gone from 6.9 to 10.5 and 11 is normal. We are so happy and so grateful to our God! He is such an awesome Father and watches over our every need.

I will keep you updated as to when they will be going for their scopes again. THanks so much for your prayers, Macy watches her page on Children's Promise and is so happy you are praying for her. Thanks again for your prayers and your love. God's many blessings to you all.
Sharon

UPDATE: 6-23-03

Macy's mom and dad will be taking her and her two sisters and brother to KCity for blood tests tomorrow to find out if the intestinal disease, Filial Juvenile Polytosis, that Macy and her mother have is in the other 3 siblings also. Please pray for no signs of anemia or other signs of this disease to show up in their blood and and that when Macy is retested we have the miracle we are praying for and that she has been healed by God's merciful hands and won't have to have the surgery to have her intestine removed. He can do anything He wants and desires to do, and we don't understand the mystery of why things happen to our loved ones the way they do, but the mystery will be solved when we see His face and He reveals it all to us. He is a loving God who always wants what is best for us and I know there will be blessings through it all.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and for the love you give to God's little ones. God's blessings and love, Sharon

UPDATE: 6-18-03

Kevin, Macy's dad, called me today and said he called the hospital in Kansas City and talked to her doctor. He made an appointment for the 24th of June to take their other 3 children to be checked for the same disease, it is genetic and could have been passed on to all of their children.

The doctor wasn't too concerned about the cyst on Macy's brain, it is small and many have them, they will have it checked every year to make sure it either dissolves, and God can do anything, or stays the same. Some have these cysts through their lifetime and don't know it. At this time he doesn't think it is related to her intestinal problems. They diagnosed Macy with what is called Familial Juvenile Polytosis, which means that she has polyps throughout her intestine, how many we do not yet know. This causes her anemia, she was diagnosed as dangerously anemic and they have her on iron now to help her regain her strength and bring her back to normal again.

At this time they are not talking about doing the surgery on her intestine, Kevin thinks they might be building her iron up to make her stronger before they decide to schedule surgery. If and when she has the surgery it will be to remove the intestine and reconstruct her rectum, which is called a J pouch, and it is what they can do now instead of using the bag on the outside of the body. When her mother had her surgery at 18 yrs old they left the rectum and she has to be checked every year for polyps that grow inside the rectum. With the surgery they do now the polyps can't grow inside any longer.

I am claiming healing for Macy, God can and will take over any situation and bring healing into it, whatever happens with the surgery or with Macy is totally in His hands, not ours, and I know He is working on her. At this time last week we thought she would be having surgery right away, now we are not sure when and it depends right now on how fast the iron works to build her strength and with God's help she may not need it for a long time.

The reason they took Macy to the doctor last week is because of a migrane headache and vomiting, not because of anemia or her intestine, they had no knowledge of any of this. Had they not taken her this would have been much worse, she was dangerously anemic and would have been very sick very soon, they thought she was pale because of her headaches and she was anemic because of the polyps bleeding in her intestine. I told him that God is working and has been working for them all along, He knew how sick Macy was getting and He made sure she was seen. They are believers and they take the kids to Church on Sun and to Sunday School. Please pray that this whole thing brings the whole family closer to each other and closer to God.

Thanks so much for your prayers for them, please pray that the other three do not have this and that Macy is healed by God's precious, healing hand, that Jesus will touch them all and make them whole and clean of any disease and healthy as they were meant to be. God's blessings to you all,
Love and Blessings, Sharon

UPDATE: 6-14-03

They will get the results from Macy's biopsy sometime next week. Then they will be scheduling surgery. They feel that there is a good chance all of her intestines will have to be removed. We pray that you stand against this report and that God will move and bring healing to this precious child. Pray that the polups are not cancerous and that they will find things not so bad when they get in and she will not have to have all of her intestines removed. We will keep you updated on these things. Her parents need your prayers as well as the other children. All of the children will now be tested for this since it is a genetically passed down condition. UPDATE: 6-13-03

Macy's 3rd MRI was done this morning and they told Kevin and Donna that the cyst on her brain is an inactive cyst and that it did not need surgery at this time, that they will watch it and ck it once a year to make sure it doesn't grow, and that they could go ahead with the scope to see what was going on in her intestines and if she had polyps growing inside, I talked to them tonight when they got the results of the scope back and the intestine does have many polyps growing inside, how many we won't know until they can do the surgery on her. They should get the biopsy report back the first part of next week and schedule the surgery for her. Please pray that the polyps are not cancerous and that they can remove them without having to take part of her intestines with them. She does have the same intestinal disease that her mom has inherited and the other 3 grandchildren will have to be checked down the road after this is over with Macy.

This is all in God's hands and I know good things can happen through troubles and trials we go through, please pray that this will be used for God's glory, the family does go to Church but they lose faith at times and do not have a firm personal relationship with the Lord. Pray that this all brings them closer as a family and that this disease has not been carried over to the other children. I have peace with this, I know that God is in control and He holds Macy and the family in the palm of His gentle, loving hands. Thank you all for your prayers, I love you all, God's blessings to all of you, Sharon

They are doing a 3rd MRI on Macy this morning to determine the size of her cyst and if it is active or not. They prepped her last night for the scope and put a tube in her for the solution to go through to clean her for the scope but they have to have a 3rd reading on the cyst on her brain to determine if they can go on with the anesthetic, please pray for the cyst to be inactive and better yet to be dissolved, with faith in God all things are possible. Also for the intestine to be clear of any polyps and for them to solve her problem through the grace of God's hand on her. Thanks for your prayers and for your love. God's blessings,

Sharon

Please send this request out for my oldest granddaughter Macy, 10 yrs. old. My son just called me and he took her to the doctor today because she has been vomiting and having migrane headaches. They did an MRI on her and found a cyst on her brain that could be causing the headaches but they are doing tests on her intestine, her mother has had intestinal problems that she inherited from her father since she was 16 yrs old and she had 18 inches of her intestine removed when she was 18 yrs old. They are thinking right now that Macy has inherited the same problems, please pray that this isn't true and that God is in control of the situation, and that she will be well and whole with no problems found. Also that this cyst will dissolve itself under the precious hand of Jesus, that His healing hand will take anything that is not of Him away and make her well.=20 Kevin is really upset and Donna was not home when he called me and doesn't know yet what the doctor said. The doctor is calling the Ronald MacDonald house in Kansas City at this time to see if he can get them in to stay there so they can take her there and run more tests on her. He wants someone from here to go after the other three grandkids and bring them to me to take care of while they are going through all of the tests. I'm waiting now til he calls me back to see when he needs to leave with them and what we are going to do. Thanks so much for your faithfulness and your prayers. God's blessings and love, Sharon
