On July 4, 2000, we began to pray for
Moriah to be able to find her thumb.
Praise God!!! As you can see, she has
found it and loves it. God is faithful
to your prayers. Thank you!
A POEM FOR MORIAH
He will rest in His love.....zeph 3:17
 I am lifting Moriah up to
the throne of God. I stand
in agreement with you in prayer
and by the promises and authority
of the scriptures, in the name of
JESUS, and by the same fire and glory of
the Holy Spirit that rose Jesus from the
dead. His will be done! In Jesus'name, Lisa
8-10 MORE GREAT NEWS!!!
I went to the hospital yesterday and was able to
see God's faithfulness in our sweet little 10lb. 2oz.
bundle of JOY. She was introduced to the bottle for
the first time. Praise God! She took to it right
away. At first she drank some, then chewed the nipple
then drank some more. She has two new best friends
now...her thumb and the bottle. She looks at both
very lovingly. It's so cute how she strares intently
at her thumb first before she pops it in her mouth,
as if to say there you are my friend.
Also they took her off the vent while I was there
and she did so good, you would never have even known
there was any difference. The stats stayed the same
and she was very peaceful. We are really praying that
she will come home with No Trach, No G-Button.
I feel like God is working in every area of her
life that we are bringing before Him. Cheryl is
going up to the hospital today to work with her
some more with the bottle. There is something so
special to me to see a mom be able to feed her
child. Thank you Lord. I know she must be over-
joyed and thanks you all so much for your
continued prayers.
PLEASE PRAY for continued coordination of the
sucking and swallowing, no acid reflux, and strength
in her lungs as she is weaned off the vent. God
Bless Each and Every One Of You! Thank You Heavenly
Father!
Also, please watch for her new pages with pictures
at the Special Needs Site. I've seen the pictures
of Moriah after Elizabeth took them and I am very
excited for you to see what God has done for yourself.

UPDATE: SATURDAY, 8-12
Julie:
I talked with Moriah's nurse just a little while ago,
she said that Moriah threw up her 9:00 am feeding. We
need to press in for her reflux to work properly. She
said that her stats stayed in the high 90's and that
she is doing okay. It is just holding down her feeds.
They had not fed her applesauce or the bottle, it was
just tube feeding.Well, I am going to close for now.

UPDATE: SUNDAY, 8-13
Please continue to pray for Moriah, that she be
healed of this reflux problem. She has still been
having some relux and they have put her back
on Pedialyte and some other medication. I will
know more tomorrow but for now, let's just keep
her in prayer, please. God Bless. Thank you,

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, 8-16
PLEASE continue to pray for Moriah. She has been
having some trouble with food digestion. They did
an upper G.I. yesterday and it came back negative
(no blockages), so we are thankful for that, but
the doctor doesn't know yet what is causing it or
what the next step will be to find out. She does
have some reflux but they are not sure if that is
all. Cheryl is requesting prayer for complete
wholeness of her digestive system and that all
her food will move through properly and be a
benefit to her body as the promise of Exodus 23:25,
Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing
will be on your food and water. I will take
away sickness from among you. Let's claim this
promise for Moriah and stand with Cheryl on this
please, in one accord.
Also she has quite a bit of congestion in her
nose and some in her chest. Now that it is time
for her to come off the vent, we need to press
in even harder as we know the enemy would not
be pleased. Moriah is really leading the way
for other Trisomy babies to get help. Because
of her heart surgery, there is another Trisomy
baby that will be getting open heart surgery
Friday at U.V.A. We met the mother last night
and she said Moriah opened the path. A lot of
doctors won't even consider it. Again, the enemy
would not be pleased, and that is why we feel
we are running up on more complications as it
comes time for her to come home and she is
witnessing to others. We need to PRESS IN with
much prayer over Moriah and this other child
who will be on the Special Needs Site
by tomorrow. So for Moriah, PLEASE PRAY for
complete wholeness of digestive tract,
strength in her lungs to come off the vent,
that her food and water will be blessed, and
that the congestion will completely clear up.
And please watch for this other baby. we know
she will need much prayer. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
I wish you could know how important you are to
us in your prayers. Unity is what the Lord would
want, to see the body of Christ come together
in faith. I feel that is happening here, and
when this other mother asked Cheryl what made
the difference in her baby being alive, Cheryl
said God and all of your prayers. What a blessing
you ALL are. Thank You!! Heavenly Father, We
Love You and Thank You In Jesus Name.
UPDATE: 8-19
Moriah has been doing a lot better. She is
drinking more of her bottle and she is eating
Rice Cereal and Bananas. This in itself is a
miracle. They said she would never do this.
Guess they were wrong..Praise God!!!!!! She
has been holding her food down and her stats
have been good. They decided to start taking
her off the vent for an hour in the morning
and an hour at night. This was a surprise
because we felt with her little problems with
her food last week that the doctor might wait,
but instead she is proceeding on, right on schedule.
Her weight is 10 lbs. 3 oz. and she will be
weighed again Monday. Thank You for your prayers.
Please remember Lindsay on Monday. She will be
having open heart surgery at U.V.A. Thank You
Heavenly Father! We Praise and Glorify Your Name.
UPDATE: 8-22
I talked to Cheryl this morning and she said
Moriah will be getting her vaccination shots
today including an influenza shot. PLEASE PRAY
that there will be no adverse reactions to her
immunizations. Also, Praise God!!! She was taken
off the vent for two hours today for the first
time, and it will be two hours again tonight
and the rest of this week, and then the time
will be increased again next week. She is doing
great, and it means it is getting that much closer
until the time when she can come home.
As far as her eating goes, they have brought
in a case of fruit for her. :) This is great!
At this rate we don't expect her to stay at 10 lbs.
6 oz. for long. This is a true miracle considering
that they told Cheryl she would never even suck a
bottle. Thank You Father! PLEASE PRAY that her
lungs will remain strong and that she will be able
to come completely off the vent. Also she has had some
congestion in her nose and we need to pray for that,
and the occasional vomiting to subside. Thank You
SO MUCH For Your Prayers! Thank You Lord! Love In

UPDATE: 8-23
I talked with Moriahs nurse this morning and
she told me that Moriah did well last night and
that they only gave her baby Tylenol once yesterday
and that was right after her shot, but that she
didn't seem to need it last night. When I was
]there with her she seemed fine, no fever and not
even fussy. She ate 30cc of applesauce for me
last night and she is doing real good with her
time off the vent, her stats are high 90's to
100%. The mucus in her nose seems to be getting
better. Praise God! I guess for prayer request
it should be focused on strength in her body to
support her breathing on her own, growth and mucus
and that she will not need the trachea when taken
off the vent.

UPDATE: 8-29
I just talked to Cheryl and they said that
they will be taking Moriah down for a Swallow
Study at 1:30 today. This is to determine her
coordination to see how she is swallowing and
if anything is being aspirated into her lungs.
PLEASE PRAY that her whole digestive tract is
completely whole and working properly as it is
in God's Will for her according to His Word.
Also, that she will go through this test with
the Lord's peace during and after it, as the
last time she had the upper G.I., she was really
out of sorts that night and we are praying against
that happening today and speaking peace over her.
Also a praise report. Her weight is up to
10lbs. 8 oz. Her stats are staying around 100%
and today is her first day of taking her off the
vent for 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in
the evening. She has been eating rice cereal and
bananas and seems to really like it. Please let's
keep her in prayer for continued strength of her
lungs and continued growth in her body.
Also, I saved the best for last....She has started
smiling! :) Praise God. Thank You Lord!! This as
been a personal prayer of mine and He is so FAITHUL!
We love you, Lord! Thank you all or your continued
prayers. We are so thankful for the Family of Christ.

New report for Moriah. Praise God!
I just talked to Cheryl and Moriah is back from
her Swallow Study and they found no aspiration into
her lungs at all! Praise God, Thank You Father.
Everything is working just as it should. This is
great news because any aspiration can lead to
pneumonia. Thank You for your prayers!
UPDATE: 9-2
I just talked to Cheryl and she said Moriah
has been placed back on Pedialyte because she
did not keep down any of her morning feeding
today. The nurse said she was NOT happy at
all about it, and her heart rate increased
but now she has calmed down. PLEASE CONTINUE
TO PRAY that her whole digestive system will
function properly and come into complete
alignment with the Word. Her stats have
stayed good even during her 3 hours off
the vent twice a day. The doctor has
started a preventative antibiotic to
make sure her lungs stay free of any
infection as the mucous does increase
some, as expected, when weaning off the
vent. PLEASE PRAY that she will remain
strong in her lungs and growth as she
comes off the vent and gets closer to
coming home.
Also, Cheryl has asked if we would please
begin to pray that her ear, jaw, and tongue
would form properly. This will all help her
in her feeding and speech. Lord, we know you
are able and Trust Your Faithfulness To Your
Word. Thank You Father.
Praise Report, She has graduated to a regular
size diaper. If you could see her
first one, (about the size of a man's
wallet, just a little bigger) you would
see why this is a very big hurdle. She's
getting right up there....a big girl now.
Praise God! Thank You for ALL your prayers.

UPDATE: 9-4
When I got up to the hospital last night
Moriah threw up on me and then on Mike she didn't
want him to feel left out I guess. I called this
morning and she was doing the same thing so the
doctor increased her reglan yuk yuk!!!!!! I have
asked to speak with him. today! We need to press
in for her digestive system that her food would go
down and out her body the way it is suppose to.
She now weighs 11 pounds and 2 oz. PRAISE
GOD! Well, I have to close for now.
