On July 4, 2000, we began to pray for
 Moriah to be able to find her thumb.
 Praise God!!! As you can see, she has 
 found it and loves it.  God is faithful

 A POEM FOR MORIAH
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 10-11
 
 I just talked to Cheryl and she said 
 Moriah is doing much better. She
 was able to suck her thumb last night 
 so that is answered prayer. She still 
 is not wanting to swallow yet because 
 it still hurts, so let's pray for continued 
 healing of her throat and comfort. Cheryl 
 will be meeting with Dr. Strope in the 
 morning to find out the results of her 
 stomach test for Acid Reflux, so there 
 will be an update on that as soon as we 
 hear anything. They are still sending her 
 home in 2 weeks. :) Praise God! Cheryl and
 Mike are learnng to change her Trach and 
 need to get signed off on that first, so 
 PLEASE keep them covered in prayer too. 
 We are so excited. PLEASE PRAY for continued 
 growth, strength, and healing for Moriah. We
 appreciate all of your prayers so much! 
 Thank You Father. We stand in amazement 
 at all You have done in Moriah's life 
 and how You have brought the Body of 
 Christ together through this. We love 
 You, Lord.

 UPDATE: 10-10 6PM
 
 I just talked to Cheryl and she said that 
 Moriah is feeling much better. Her stats are 
 back up to 100% Praise God! She had a very 
 rough time last night. Cheryl said she likes 
 to suck her hands to comfort herself and it
 hurt so much to try to do that, that she just 
 held them together wringing them in front of 
 her. The swelling is down some today so PLEASE
 PRAY that it will go all the way down and she 
 can resume her favorite pastime. :)
 
 Cheryl talked to the nurse a little while 
 ago and they won't know anything about the 
 tests for the Acid Reflux until tomorrow to 
 see if that is what is causing the swelling. 
 PLEASE continue to pray for comfort and healing. 
 We will post another update tomorrow after we 
 hear something from the doctor. Thank You ALL 
 for your prayers. Thank You, Abba Father.
 
 
 UPDATE: 10-10
 
 First, Thank You Heavenly Father, that You 
 hear our prayers and that you love us and 
 desire to give us the kingdom. We love You 
 Lord, and thank You that the "callous" has 
 been removed, and You comforted Moriah last
 night and continue to do a marvelous work and 
 a wonder in her precious little life. We stand 
 in amazement Lord, and we humbly thank You. In
 Jesus Name. Amen
 
 Cheryl said she really felt and saw the effects 
 of all your prayers last night for Moriah. She 
 was in a lot of distress and Cheryl said her stats
 were just dropping at random times. She was very 
 red faced, fussy, hot, and her whole mouth, tongue, 
 and lips were swollen. She was not a happy girl. 
 Cheryl said that shortly after the requests went 
 out she started to settle down and her stats 
 stabilized. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING
 WITH US IN PRAYER, IT MEANS SO MUCH! Now, another 
 thing that the doctors found yesterday is that she 
 has swelling in her throat. This is causing her 
 airway to be almost closed therefore she is breathing 
 through the Trach and it cannot be removed until 
 this is healed also. They believe the cause may be 
 Acid Reflux so they took her down at 9:45 this 
 morning to see if they can find the cause of this 
 swelling. Her throat is very small anyway so growth 
 will help, but healing of this whole area is what 
 we are bringing before our Heavenly Father. PLEASE 
 PRAY with us for complete healing and wholeness
 to her throat and mouth. She needs the Lord's touch 
 and for His Glory to be manifested in her. WE BELIEVE 
 HIS REPORT  AND KNOW THAT BY HIS STRIPES SHE WAS 
 HEALED. WE CLAIM VICTORY FOR HER IN JESUS NAME. 
 PLEASE PRAY WITH US. Her Doctor said she needs 
 to have continued strength and growth. Cheryl is 
 asking for prayer, that she be healed with complete
 wholeness in her body and have No Trach. 
 
 PRAISE GOD! She still may be coming home in two 
 weeks and we REJOICE in that!! She is such a 
 blessing from the Father. Let's continue to hold up the
 needs of "our littlest sister in Christ" to Him.
 
 There will be another update later today with 
 the results of her stomach test. ALSO, there has 
 been some trouble with the Special Needs Site in
 pulling up her page. This is because the address 
 was changed by the server with no notice. It is 
 fine now and also there has been a little
 trouble getting the requests out so please pray 
 that there is "no interference" in getting this

 UPDATE: 10-9 8:00pm
 
 IMMEDIATE NEED!!! This is an ADD-ON after I 
 wrote the Praise Report below, I got a call 
 from Cheryl and she said Moriah's Stats are 
 dropping and she is very hot, uncomfortable, 
 and fussy. She is gagging and has never looked 
 like this before. It is a concern that her stats 
 are in the low 80's when they usually are 100% 
 even after surgeries. PLEASE PRAY! We need to 
 storm the heavens with prayer for peace, comfort, 
 and protection. Father, In The Name of Jesus, we 
 come humbly before Your Throne and ask that you 
 would comfort and sustain Moriah bringing a
 quick recovery. Amen!

 I am so thrilled to bring you this "GREAT REPORT" 
 on Moriah. The surgeon said that the callous on her 
 larynx is COMPLETELY REMOVED! We are so thankful!!!  
 AND....She may be COMING HOME for the first time 
 since she went back to King's Daughter's 8 months 
 ago. What a JOY this news is to hear! Her own doctor 
 said because she is so little, and her neck is
 still very small, they will be leaving the Trach 
 in for now while she grows some. They did see a 
 little swelling in a place by her Larynx (different 
 area) that may be coming from Acid Reflux, and that 
 is a determining factor in leaving it in for now 
 also. So we need to continue to claim VICTORY IN 
 JESUS for her growth and strength so her neck 
 will get stronger and they will be able to remove 
 the Trach altogether. PLEASE PRAY for continued
 development in all areas that need to come into 
 alignment with the Word of God. He is SO FAITHFUL! 
 Thank You Lord!!! Thank you from the bottom
 of our hearts for ALL your prayers. Thank You Lord!!!!
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 10-9
 
 Dearest friends and Prayer partners,
 As many people prayed yesterday in churches 
 and throughout the country, His Glory was 
 manifested in Moriah. Cheryl said she looked 
 the best that she had ever seen her, and Mike 
 got to take her for a walk throughout the floor 
 with NO TUBES attached. He was a very proud 
 daddy and Moriah liked venturing out to do 
 some visiting. We know God hears and Answers
 our prayers!
 
 I write this with excited joy and anticipation 
 at what God has done, and is going to do today 
 as His Light and Glory shines forth in Moriah. We
 are standing together with Praise and Thanksgiving, 
 claiming Victory for her today as she goes into 
 surgery. PLEASE REJOICE WITH US because we know 
 He is our Healer and has already created her for 
 His Purposes. We BELIEVE and therefore will see 
 the Glory of God. PLEASE PRAY for strength and 
 protection in Jesus Name. Amen. We Praise You 
 And We Thank You, Father! I will write as soon 
 as I get the "Good Report" Thank you
 from the bottom of our hearts for yor prayers.
  
 
 
 UPDATE: 10-6
 
 I talked to Cheryl this morning and she said 
 Moriah's weight is at 11lbs. 8 oz. Praise God! 
 Her stats have continued to stay up since she
 as been off the vent. There have been a little 
 more secretions so PLEASE PRAY for strength and 
 that her lungs, neck, and throat will be made
 completely whole in Jesus Name. Her surgery is 
 to be next week sometime after Dr. Strope returns. 
 PLEASE PRAY that the "callous" on her larynx
 will be healed. We are really praying for Victory 
 in this area and that she will come home with no 
 Trach and that God will sustain her. Moriah
 was up late last night and the nurse said she 
 looked a little mottled and was out of sorts 
 this morning not wanting to eat. Cheryl said 
 she was probably still tired, so let's pray 
 that she will get back to her usual self and 
 look forward to her yogurt later today. Thank 
 You Father.
 
 ADDITION:
 
 I just talked to Cheryl again and she just 
 received a call that Moriah's surgery has 
 been scheduled for MONDAY, OCTOBER 9th at 
 4:25 p.m. PLEASE PRAY for healing and protection 
 for Moriah and guidance for the doctors and 
 medical staff. Thank you for your prayers. We 
 need a miracle from the "Head Physician"  Thank 
 You Father that You hear our prayers.
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 10-2
 
 Praise God! They cancelled the surgery. They had 
 already put in an IV but Mike, Moriah's Dad went 
 up to the hospital and had a talk with the Doctor 
 and some nurses and the surgery was cancelled. It 
 will be the week of Oct. 9., and another PRAISE 
 REPORT, Moriah's weight is now 11lbs. 7 oz. Cheryl 
 says she likes her yogurt. :)  Thank you ALL so much
 for your prayers! This whole surgery thing just 
 did not feel right.Thank You Lord!! Please Keep 
 Praying for her neck to be healed and thanking 
 God, that He hears our prayers and knows our needs. 
 We claim Victory in Jesus for Moriah in Jesus Name.
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 10-1
 
 They have postponed Moriah's surgery until 
 Oct. 9. Her doctor, Dr. Strope will be out 
 of town this week and he wants to be there 
 for her surgery so they are waiting until 
 next week. Moriah continues to do great. 
 She is completely off the vent and they 
 have removed it from her little room. She 
 is eating good and drinking a bottle. She 
 still has the G-button for now but we are 
 praying that they will be able to remove
 that also. I went to see her last week and 
 she is really changing developmentally. She 
 seems to have so much peace and really enjoys
 taking in everything that is going on around 
 her. She has become attached to mom and went 
 right to sleep when Cheryl held her up close
 and patted her back. What a joy! PLEASE CONTINUE 
 TO PRAY for her neck to be made completely 
 whole (especially no callous) and that they 
 won't even find anything during her surgery. 
 And PLEASE PRAY for continued growth and 
 strength. Love To All, thank you for your

 ADDITION . . .
 
 I just got off the phone with Cheryl and 
 she was informed that they are still planning 
 on doing Moriah's surgery tomorrow even though 
 Moriah's own doctor had said he wanted it to be 
 next week. He is out of town and doesn't know 
 this. We do not have peace with this at all, and 
 we know that confusion is not of the Lord. There 
 seems to be a lot of confusion right now over 
 this and they (another doctor and the nurses) 
 told Cheryl that they cannot even give her a 
 time when this will be done. They are putting 
 in an I.V. tonight after her 9 p.m. feeding. 
 PLEASE PRAY that the Lord will OVERSEE man and 
 that HIS WILL be done. If it is not meant
 for this surgery to happen tomorrow that He 
 will stop it. We let peace be our umpire as 
 the Word says, and right now we do not have 
 peace about this. PLEASE PRAY!! PLEASE!!

 UPDATE: 9-26
 
 I just talked to Cheryl this morning and I have 
 some great news!!! Moriah is completely off the 
 vent! She has been doing 18 hour intervals of 
 being off, but today they have taken her completely 
 off and covered the machine over, and it is sitting 
 in the corner. Praise God!  Cheryl says we're gonna 
 have a funeral for that thing and we are THANKING 
 God for this victory in Jesus Name. LET"S CLAIM  
 continued strength, growth, and no secretions. God 
 is Faithful.  Now for next Tuesday, PLEASE PRAY AND 
 SAY in Jesus Name that this callous (mountain) be 
 removed and cast away (into the sea) also, so that
 the Trach can be taken out completely. We are finally 
 looking at Moriah being able to go home and be with 
 her family. We are claiming VICTORY in this area too 
 because we know the Battle has been won over the wiles 
 of the enemy. Satan has been defeated and we are 
 PRAISING and THANKING GOD, that THE BATTLE IS THE 
 LORD'S AND HE ALREADY WON! PRAISE GOD!! THANK 
 YOU LORD!  WE RAISE UP THE BANNER OF VICTORY 
 OVER MORIAH IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

 UPDATE: 9-22
 
 I talked to Cheryl this morning and we 
 would like to come into one accord before 
 the Father on Moriah's latest needs. She 
 got a call from the Doctor this morning 
 and he told her that on October 2nd, they 
 will be taking Moriah to surgery to remove 
 this "callous" from her throat. Dr. Strope 
 told her that he had also seen some swelling 
 above her Larynx on Tuesday, during surgery. 
 All of this determines her outcome on removing 
 the Trach, coming home, her speech, and her 
 ability to eat properly. We KNOW this is NOT 
 God's Will for her, to not be able to do these 
 things. We know that through prayer, it is 
 time to press in for a BREAKTHROUGH for TOTAL 
 HEALING of her throat, especially this callous 
 and swelling.  She has too any things to tell 
 the world about her Heavenly Father!
 
 PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER as we press in for our 
 "Little Sister In Christ" asking the Father for 
 this whole area be healed and made whole,
 coming into complete alignment of God's Word 
 according to 1 Peter 2:24, so that no surgery 
 would even be needed.
 
 Some that are praying feel called to fast during 
 the next 10 days until her surgery, and we just 
 wanted to pass that on to you in case you would
 like to join with us, if you feel led to fast and 
 pray. Fasting can be anything that is a sacrifice 
 to the Father, whether it is food (whatever you 
 feel the Lord is leading you to do) or something 
 else that you feel led to give up, and spend time 
 in prayer before the Lord. The time and decision 
 of what to fast can be entirely different for each
 person, so please know this is only if you feel 
 the Lord is placing this on your heart. We 
 appreciate ALL of your prayers. 
 
 Yesterday, Moriah was off the vent for 18 hours 
 and did great.  She is sleeping more because it is 
 more work, but she never liked to sleep too
 much anyway, (likes to know what's going on) so 
 this may give her a little break. Her stats are 
 staying in the upper 90's and 100. She has
 had more secretions, so we want to keep this 
 in prayer also. 
 
 She is such a wonderful little blessing and truly 
 has taught us so much! I love her, and we really 
 thank you all so much for your prayers! Father, 
 We Love You!  We Praise You! We Thank You!
 
 
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 9-19
 
 I talked to Cheryl a little while ago and Moriah 
 was out of surgery and resting comfortably.
 
 This is what Dr. Strope said his findings were:
 From the Trach down into her lungs, everything 
 looked fine and he didn't find any problems.
 
 From the mouth and nose, down to the Trach where 
 the larynx (voice box)is located, there was a 
 callous build-up that has closed her airway. He 
 said he could not tell if her larynx was working 
 because there was no air moving through it to see 
 if it was moving properly.... Therefore she has 
 not been making any sounds above the vent like she 
 used to do sometimes. He said that it was completely 
 sealed, but the larynx looked pliable which is 
 good. In 3 to 4 weeks they are going to see about 
 removing this callous. His plan is to get her off 
 the vent, but she would still be breathing through 
 the Trach, since at this time no air is going 
 through her mouth or nose. His short term care 
 for now is to let her rest, get weaned off the 
 vent, and remove the callous in 3 to 4 weeks. He 
 said he is not sure what caused this, it could be 
 acid reflux or her time on the vent. Today, they 
 are just taking it easy on her....vent, pedialyte, 
 and rest. PLEASE PRAY she will have that complete 
 peace and rest that she needs. The Dr. said they 
 put her through a lot today. Cheryl has requested 
 that we CONTINUE to PRAY for her respiratory area, 
 her digestive system, and no acid reflux. We are 
 also praying for continued strength and growth. 
 
 Basically, the Doctor said this could cause her 
 larynx to be paralyzed and she wouldn't be able 
 to speak. We see this as one more opportunity
 for God to move in Moriah's life, to His Glory. 
 Everything that they have said she would not do, 
 she Is doing! Praise God! They said she would 
 not see, she sees. They said she would not ever 
 suck a bottle or eat, yet she does both and 
 enjoys them very much I might add.  :)  They 
 said she would never be able to survive surgery, 
 well she has had at least 6 that I know of, 
 including open heart surgery and she's just a 
 little trooper. And just yesterday, her educational 
 therapist told Cheryl that she hears, Praise God... 
 another thing they said she would never do. The 
 Lord has certainly been her Provision and we know 
 His will is for her to have a voice of melody. This 
 is one more chance for His Glory to be manifested 
 and we praise Him and love Him for ALL that He has 
 brought her through. She is a wonder to many and a 
 true joy and blessing to know. We thank God for her 
 and all He teaches us through her precious little 
 life. Lord, we watch and wait as your mighty power 
 and faithfulness continues to shine in Moriah's life. 
 Praise You Father!! Thank you all so much for your 
 continued prayers. It is a blessing and an honor to 
 share God's miracles with so many brothers and sisters 
 in Christ. We love you all!
 
 
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 9-15
 
 I talked to Cheryl this morning and she said Moriah 
 continues to be in a good mood and has taken a special 
 interest in Cheryl's glasses....that is, when she takes 
 a few minutes break from admiring her best friend,
 her thumb. She is such a joy!
 
 Cheryl found out this morning that they will be taking 
 her down to surgery on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. to 
 do the scope in her throat and lungs checking for any 
 granular material or scar tissue from her time on the 
 breathing tube and vent. They will put her to sleep and 
 look at her lower airway first, then go through her nose 
 to check other areas. PLEASE PRAY that she will be 
 completely free of any scar tissue, granules, or any 
 effects from the vent. The nurse said that her same
 doctor, Dr. Strope will be doing this procedure, and 
 that he will have a lot of information about how to 
 proceed with her care as soon as the test is done. 
 This is a crucial step in Moriah being able to 
 completely come off the Trach and go home.
 
 Also, she has started back on solid food and is doing 
 fine. Praise God! He has sustained her and provided 
 for all of her needs, and continues to hold her in 
 His loving arms. We thank Him and praise Him, that 
 He loves us and hears our prayers always.  Thank You 
 Father! Thank you all for your continued support. It 
 means so much!
 
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 9-13
 
 I talked to Cheryl this morning and I am very 
 happy to report that her weight is back up to 
 11 lbs. 2 ozs.  Praise God, He is so faithful.
 Thank you for your prayers, especially during 
 this recent virus.  She has started back on her 
 formula and she is doing fine. She has not
 started back with the solid foods yet, but 
 hopefully they will start that back this week too.  
 She has been staying off the vent for 4 hours 
 in the morning and 4 hours at night, but she 
 has a big day tomorrow, they will be taking her off
 the vent for 12 HOURS STRAIGHT. She has done 
 great with coming off the vent, and Cheryl 
 said she did not even have to suction her out 
 at all last night while she was there...no 
 junkiness. Also the congestion in her nose has 
 stopped. PLEASE PRAY that as they wean her off 
 the vent that she will have continued success 
 in strength and growth. 
 
 Also she got swing to sit in now and the nurse 
 told Cheryl that when she put her in it, she 
 got a grin on her face and a look of satisfaction
 like, "I have arrived" She really likes it, and 
 it is such a joy to know how happy she is.....
 what a blessing. Again, thank you so much for 
 joining with us in prayer. It truly means
 so much!  Thank You Lord! What an Awesome 
 God we serve. :)
 
 
 UPDATE: 9-8
 
 I talked to Cheryl today and Praise God!!!  Moriah's 
 weight has gone back up to 10 lbs. 8 ozs. since yesterday. 
 They do believe it was a virus because all of her tests 
 have come out fine and also a few other children have had 
 it. PLEASE PRAY for a little Preemie that they say is 
 still having complications. Thank You So Much for your 
 prayers for Moriah too. We need to continue to lift her 
 growth, strength, and development before the Lord. She 
 is off the vent for 8 hours now a day. Thank You Father!
 
 Also, an eye doctor visited her yesterday and said she 
 had a condition that causes her eyes to cross sometimes. 
 We know that is not in the Lord's will and pray that her 
 eyes are perfectly whole in Jesus Name. She will have 
 another appointment in 2 months so we pray that only 
 God's Glory will be shining forth in her eyes. 
 
 Also, an Educational Therapist was assigned to Moriah 
 and she just happened to be the same lady who was 
 with a group of doctors that saw Moriah at 30 days. 
 None of them thought she would even survive so no
 efforts for this kind of therapy was pursued. HOWEVER, 
 when she realized this was the same baby (which she 
 could not believe), she was completely amazed and 
 cannot believe how good she looks. She said she 
 held up a toy and Moriah followed it full circle. 
 They had said she would not be able to see, but we 
 know God is a God of healing. We Praise Him. She 
 will now be working with her to assess her development 
 and work with her mobility and muscle coordination. 
 This is great news!
 
 One more request, please....Cheryl prayed with 
 Lyndsay's mom the other night, and found out that 
 Lyndsay does have a leak where they patched her heart. 
 She is asking us if we will come into agreement with 
 her in prayer that the leak in Lyndsay's heart will 
 close and her heart will be completely whole in 
 Jesus Name. Thank you ALL for your prayers! 
 Thank You Lord.
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 9-6
 
 I talked to Cheryl this morning and she said Moriah 
 looked pretty good last night and kept all of her 
 Pedialyte down while she was there. However, she did 
 throw up at about 4 a.m. The doctor thinks it may be a
 virus, and has ordered blood work. The baby in the 
 next bed is a Preemie and he is having the same 
 symptoms, only he is not doing good at all. PLEASE 
 PRAY for him also. We can't give out any information 
 on him (and we don't even know much), but God knows 
 his needs...and we do know He needs prayer. Lord, 
 please send Your Holy Spirit, breathing life and
 life more abundantly into these children in Jesus 
 Name. Thank You all for your prayers. :) It is such 
 a comfort to know that we have prayer support from 
 other brothers and sisters in Christ. Father, we 
 love and adore You. Thank You for loving us.

 UPDATE: 9-5
 
 I talked to Cheryl this morning and she said 
 Moriah has been continuing to throw up. They 
 had put her back on formula this morning and 10
 minutes into it, she spit it all up, so she's 
 back on Pedialyte. There is another baby in 
 the bed next to her that has started doing the 
 same thing so we don't know if it's a virus? 
 or what, but we know God knows so PLEASE PRAY 
 that He would give ALL her caregivers revelation
 knowledge, especially the doctor, in handling 
 this and finding out how to address it, according 
 to God's will.  We do have a praise report also. 
 She was taken off the vent for 4 hours this morning 
 and they will take her off again for 4 hours later 
 today. She is doing great with this and her stats 
 are staying perfect. Praise God! 
  
 Let's continue to pray for strength in her lungs 
 and continued growth. Also that a breakthrough 
 will take place in this area of her feeding,
 that her digestive tract will be completely whole 
 and that NO sickness can come near her, because 
 she abides under the shadow of the Almighty
 in Jesus Name. Thank You Father. Thank you ALL 
 for standing with us in prayer. It means so much! 
 
 
 
 UPDATE: 9-4
 
 When I got up to the hospital last night 
 Moriah threw up on me and then on Mike she didn't 
 want him to feel left out I guess. I called this 
 morning and she was doing the same thing so the 
 doctor increased her reglan yuk yuk!!!!!!  I have 
 asked to speak with him. today! We need to press 
 in for her digestive system that her food would go 
 down and out her body the way it is suppose to. 
 She now weighs 11 pounds and 2 oz. PRAISE 
 GOD! Well, I have to close for now.

 NEW DEVELOPMENTS:
 
 I just talked to Cheryl and she is on her way 
 up to the hospital. They had started Moriah back 
 on her formula after the Pedialyte and she threw
 up all of it again. Her heart rate is in the 180's 
 and they were having a hard time calming her down. 
 PLEASE PRAY for a breakthrough in this area, so 
 they can get to the root of this problem. She will 
 be talking to the doctor today so PLEASE PRAY that 
 the Lord will give him wisdom about what to do next. 
 Also, PLEASE PRAY for peace for Moriah. It is
 very hard to calm her down when she gets upset 
 like that.  Thank you so much for your continued 
 prayers. Thank You Father that You hear our prayers 
 and never leave or forsake us.
