Moriah

A POEM FOR MORIAH
UPDATE 4-14 My lastest info is that Moriah may have to be put back on the ventilator. We will be traveling their tomorrow and I hope to have more info on Sunday. Thank you for your prayers. Heartseeker UPDATE 4-13 I just talked to Cheryl. She is asking that we pray for Moriah's lungs. It seems that the doctors have had to turn the c-pap up from 6 to 10. That is as high as they can go. The next alternative would be to put the breathing tubes back in, and Cheryl is really praying that Moriah's lungs will be strengthened and she will be able to breathe on her own. Also, she is requesting prayer for growth for Moriah. At the present time, she is on an I.V. in case they would need to put the tubes back, they don't want her to have a full tummy. We are praying that she wil breathe on her own and get back on formula. Thanks to everyone who is continuing to hold her up in prayer... It means so much to be able to count on one another. We know Lord, that ALL things are possible through you, so Father, We trust you and know that You Are God and these children are in Your hands and we thank You and Praise You for it!!! UPDATE 4-12 Moriah is still doing good. Her mom is requesting that we pray for her to not have to use the c-pap. It is a device that forces air into her lungs to keep them expanded. She would like for her to be able to come off of that. Also pray for her strength, she has been through a lot this week. Mom and Dad are doing fine and extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers that are going out for the children and the parents. Again, much thanks goes out to the doctors as they are very encouraging and attentive to all of Moriah's needs. Most of all, Thank You Heavenly Father for Your Grace!! UPDATE 4-11 4:45 PM I have a PRAISE REPORT for MORIAH!!! She is OFF THE BREATHING TUBES!! PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. She is completely BREATHING ON HER OWN!!!! Cheryl said she looks very content! I am so happy that she is doing great. What a little miracle! Thank You Lord!! One other thing that I had reported earlier about her aorta, I wasn't sure what they had to do during surgery but a friend just told me that all the had to do was straighten it out, I believe they had originally thought that it was worse than that. God heals!! Lord, we are so thankful for your touch on these children! Praise Your Holy Name Father UPDATE 4-11 I talked to Cheryl and Moriah is doing excellent. Her heart rate is around 100. Her blood pressure is good and her skin is looking very good. The doctor will be coming in this afternoon to remove her breathing tubes. Please pray that there will be no complications. Her vocal cords are so small that they don't want this to be a concern when they take her off. We also need to keep her in prayer as far as her lungs and her weight. She has lost a little weight and we are praying for that to come right back and be thriving...Amen.. Also, the doctors at this hospital are very willing to work with her to address her needs. They will be having her take physical therapy to increase her abilty to suck. They will have her come back in about 4 months to 'fix her bottom." Praise God for this miracle!! It is also giving Cheryl an opportunity to witness and pray with other parents. Let's pray that the Lord will place her where their is a need and she will be able to give the hope and encouragement of the Lord to others. GOD, YOU ARE AWESOME!! Thank you Lord!! UPDATE 4-9 I just talked to Cheryl and she said Moriah is doing very well. Please continue to pray for her lungs, she might have a little pnuemonia in he left lung. They will be trying to take her off life support tomorrow which is a lot sooner than Cheryl expected. Praise God!! Cheryl is requesting that we pray that God will make her completely whole in Jesus Name. UPDATE 4-8 10 AM More good news!! I just talked to Moriah's Grandmother and Moriah is doing very good. Praise God!! Cheryl told her that her color looks better than yesterday and she had a very peaceful night's sleep. We need to continue to keep her covered in prayer concerning her lungs as this is always a concern after surgery. Moriah will be staying at University of Virginia as opposed to coming back to King's Daughters. They will be addressing more of her needs and I will keep you posted. Thanks goes out to everyone who is joining with us in prayer. It makes a difference!!! I am so thankful to the Lord for his loving care over Moriah. He truly is carrying her through this!! Praise You Father!!! Julie. UPDATE 4-7 10 pm Moriah is still doing well. God has done a great work in her life. Continue to pray, she has a distance to go and we know God will carry her through if we remain faithful in intercession for her. Heartseeker NEW UPDATE 4-7 12pm GREAT NEWS!!!!! I just talked to another intercessor who is in touch with Cheryl's mom. Moriah just came out of surgery and she is doing great!!!!!!!!! They were able to do EVERYTHING that they wanted to do. They fixed something with her aorta and patched her heart. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. This is truly a miracle!!! The only concern now is a little early pneumonia in her left lung. This operation is one of the firsts in these babies. I know that unwavering faith has released God's miraculous healing power in her life. I am so excited. He has brought her through this all the way! Glory to the Father. Thank you for praying with me. I will give you a later update as I get it. Another update I just talked to Cheryl from the hospital. She said that what was supposed to be a 3 hour surgery only took 1 1/2 hours. They repaired the hole in her heart and repaired another small hole. They fixed her aorta and everything went great. They still have a little concern about her left lung. So lets keep that in prayer. They had some people come in yesterday and take pictures. Moriah"s story will be published in the Medical Books. It is so awesome. Cheryl and her husband want to thank everyone that is praying with them and they send a "heartfelt" thanks from Moriah Too!! They are very happy with the doctors at University of Virginia Hospital. They are extremely positive and compassionate. She said they are already talking about how some other smaller problems can be corrected. Anyone who reads about this please know that God's hand has brought this family through all of this. Always have unwavering faith in God and CLAIM His Promises without doubt. I have seen what faith in God can do through Moriah, never give up...Just Believe!! UPDATE ON MORIAH 4-6 8PM Moriah will be having open heart surgery tomorrow to fix the hole in her heart. I just talked to Cheryl's mother again. Cheryl called from the hospital and said that they will be taking Moriah down to surgery at 6:30 a.m. She will not know anything until about 12:30. The immediate concern for the surgery is for her breathing tubes because she is so small. She is about 5 lbs. now. She is asking that we keep her in prayer especially during that time and throughout the day. Please pray that God directs the hands and minds of the surgeon's and everyone involved that is taking care of her. She is a miracle already and I pray that many people will witness God's glory through her. I am also asking that the family be kept in prayer during this time. My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you for joining us in prayer.
