I am lifting Moriah up to the throne
of God. I stand in agreement with
you in prayer and by the promises
and authority of the scriptures, in
the name of JESUS, and by the same
fire and glory of the Holy Spirit
that rose Jesus from the dead. His
will be done!In Jesus' name,Lisa
UPDATE: THURSDAY, 5-4
I just got back from visiting Moriah. What a beautiful
little girl! I got to talk to her and pray for her and
I rubbed her little head until she went to sleep. I did
get to see her in her 'awake mode' too and she is strong
and fiesty. She has a great spirit about her. They gave
up on taking her blood pressure because her legs were
moving too much. She is so sweet. I love her. On our
way home from the hospital, Cheryl got a page and they
told her that Moriah is scheduled for surgery tomorrow
morning at 11:00, Cheryl needs to be there by 9a.m. so
that will also give her time to spend with her. Moriah
definitely likes to know mom is there. Her heart rate
and breathing increase when Cheryl is loving on her.
Tomorrow the plan is to do the tracheotomy, put a feeding
button in her abdomen and close off a section of her
stomach so she won't be bothered by reflux as that
can affect her breathing. Cheryl continues to ask
the Lord for No Tracheotomy to be done but is at
peace with whatever direction the Lord moves in.
We all pray for God's glory on Moriah to come forth.
She is a blessing. I am requesting that we all keep
Moriah in prayer tomorrow, especially to keep her
covered and the doctors and staff as she has
surgery. Whether she will need the Trach is still
in God's hands but they probably would still do the
stomach procedure. Thank you so much for your prayers
and I can tell you that MANY of them have already been
answered as I see Moriah and how many improvements and
changes have taken place in her little body. Lord,
Thank You That You Hear Our Prayers, We Love You!
UPDATE: FRIDAY, 5-5
Cheryl just called and said that Moriah did great!
Praise The LORD!! The doctors took her down at about
11:40 this morning They only did two of the three procedures.
She did get the Trach, and she did get the G-Button, but
she did not need anything else done to her stomach and
Praise God..there was no scarring from the ventilator
tubes. That is amazing to me considering the length of
time that she had them in. Everything went excellent and
the surgery took less time than they expected. Right now
she is breathing above the ventilator and she is taking
deep breaths on her own.The ventilator is set at 20 and
she is breathing at 38-40. That is excellent especially
just coming out of surgery. She does not have anything
covering her little face now so you can really see how
pretty she is, there is a little puffiness where the
tape was but that will go away. When Cheryl was putting
a Q-tip to her lips she tried to suck on it which is a
praise report! That is something that they will be teaching
her to do more with Physical Therapy. They need to teach
her to eat, nurse and swallow on her own which they will
now be able to do. In the meantime she will be fed through
the G-button and that will help her gain weight. They will
keep her sleeping for the next three days so that the Trach
can begin to heal. When she is able to leave the intensive
care floor, which should be within a week, she will
be moved to another floor with a more home-style
environment. Cheryl will be able to hold her which she
has not been able to do because of the tubes. Cheryl
said that there was a great peace about the entire day
and she was very happy with the doctors. They were very
kind and compassionate to her and gentle with Moriah.
She did have Dr. Kelly which was the doctor that had
operated on her before so she was happy with that. Praise
God, I can't thank Him enough!! He continues to hear
our prayers and provides for every need. I am so happy
and thankful to everyone that is joining with us in
prayer. It has been amazing to see the body of Christ
work and pray together for Moriah and all these
little children needing our prayers. THANK YOU
SO MUCH!! FATHER GOD, YOU ARE AN
AWESOME GOD...THANK YOU!! Julie
UPDATE: MONDAY, 5-8
PRAISE GOD!!! I just talked to Cheryl and Moriah is
off the ventilator!! She is off life support and is
breathing on her own with a little extra oxygen. Cheryl
was not even expecting for them to take her off. She
called to check on her and they told her that they had
lowered the ventilator and she did well so then they
just used the C-pap and she did so well that they took
her off that too. She is not having to have anything to
help her lungs expand. PRAISE GOD!! Cheryl is asking
that we keep her covered in prayer that she will not
get too tired. She did not expect for them to even try
any of this for at least 7 days. All I can say is
THANK YOU LORD!! YOU HAVE BEEN SO FAITHFUL
TO OUR PRAYERS. We love you Father and we
thank You for touching Moriah and all these
children with Your precious Holy Spirit.
UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, 5-10
I went to see Moriah last night and there are not
words enough to describe how beautiful she looks to
me. She is so sweet. They had her dressed in a little
pink outfit and she was visiting with us for a little
bit and then peacefully went to sleep. She has changed
so much since she was born. To me seeing her is like
seeing the hand of God at work. Things that were
originally diagnosed about her are now corrected.
Her feet have completely straightened out and her
hands are opening and closing. Her skin looks beautiful.
She truly is a little miracle and a testimony to the
glory of God. She will be moved to the 5th floor today
where Cheryl will learn how to take care of her
Tracheotomy. Also, after they had completely taken
her off life support, Cheryl and also a few people
that have been praying with her did not feel complete
peace about it. Cheryl talked to a friend that is a
nurse about her concern and she did tell her that
most of the time there is a weaning off process so
they prayed about it and as Cheryl was praying about
calling the hospital, a nurse from the hospital called
and said that they had decided to put her back on for
a few hours at a time to let her rest. The nurse thought
that Cheryl would be upset but Praise God, that is
exactly what she was already feeling in her spirit,
so she is happy that they are letting her just relax
and grow. All that breathing on her own after such a
busy week was a lot of work for her. Now she spends
the day off of it but they put her back on at night
to rest. God is so good. As I see her there resting,
it is like Jesus is holding her in His arms and
recreating every cell in her little body. There are
no more words to describe the peace that is there at
her bedside. I will write again after she is moved to
the other floor and Cheryl will be able to hold
her and love her. Thank you so much for your prayers.
Cheryl sends a heartfelt thank you also from her and
her family and especially little Moriah. Heavenly Father,
we love You and are in amazement at your Awesome love
and mercy for us. WE LOVE YOU LORD!!
