A POEM FOR MORIAH
 Isn't she beautiful!.
He will rest in His love.....zeph 3:17
I am lifting Moriah up to the throne
of God. I stand in agreement with
you in prayer and by the promises
and authority of the scriptures, in
the name of JESUS, and by the same
fire and glory of the Holy Spirit
that rose Jesus from the dead. His
will be done!In Jesus' name,Lisa
UPDATE: THURSDAY, 6-1
I talked to Cheryl this morning. She stayed at the
hospital all night and got home around 6am. She sounded
pretty tired. She did say that Moriah had a peaceful
night. Her heart rate is back to normal and her stats
are good. The doctor said everything went well and
the nurses said she pulled through very well also
and were surprised at how good she did last night,
she was one of the quietest patients I hear. Praise
God! They are only administering medication as needed
and Cheryl is happy about that because she would rather
Moriah let them know when she needs it so she is getting
as little as possible. She went 4 hours last night
instead of 2 hours without needing anything, She is
such a little trooper. As far as the surgery, the
doctor went into the same incision as before so she
won't have a new scar. Praise God everything went well
and continues to improve. Please keep her in your
prayers as she continues to heal. Thank God and thank
everyone for your continued prayers and support.
God Bless, Julie

UDATE: THURSDAY, 6-8
Moriah is doing good so here is the update for
her. Praise God, Moriah continues to improve!
I have two praise reports for her today besides
her general improvement. She is up to 7lbs. 4 oz.,
which is great considering her recent surgery.
Also, the best news...Praise God, Ed Marc called
Cheryl today and said we will have to take Moriah
off of our support group for terminally ill children
who are not expected to live. She is doing too good
for us to keep her in the group. Isn't that great?
Never knew when I felt so good about someone getting
kicked out of the group..LOL So we are praising God
and consider her life a true miracle! Thank You Lord
for Your Faithfulness! Cheryl says Moriah is getting
spoiled and let's you know now when she wants to be
picked up. She will start fussing until you pick her
up and then she is fine. That's good news too, glad
to hear that she's spoiled. Cheryl has bought some
special little mitts for her so she won't scratch
her face and she is in the middle of making Butterfly
Curtains to put in her room for Moriah to see and
know that she may be in the cocoon but she is being
transformed into God's Glory. Cheryl did notice a
little bleeding and oozing from her incision last
night so we need to keep her covered in prayer for
that. Her stats have stayed perfect and they are
bringing the ventilator slowly back down after her
surgery. Also she got a new trach and it is a little
hard to push in so Cheryl is praying that it won't
hurt her neck. She is learning how to take care of
the Trach so let's keep them all covered in prayer
and pray for Moriah to be made whole in Jesus Precious
Name and that Moriah will be able to go home soon. Or
constant thanks goes out to all of you who are lifting
Moriah before the Throne Of Grace. We feel that you
are all a be a part of her miracle. God Bless You All!
Thank You Heavenly Father In Jesus Precious Name,
We Love You Lord.

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, 6-14
I talked to Cheryl today and Moriah contiues to
improve. Her weight is right at 7lbs. 4oz. The
doctors have turned her ventilator down to 11
which is really good. The plan is to continue
to turn it down a little each week and eventually
get her off of it. Her Stats are perfect and
also she got a little button on her feeding tube
which is a lot better for her. Moriah does not have
to have any prune juice or Senecot ever since her
surgery so that is geat. Praise God....that is the
answer to one of our prayers also. Cheryl has been
going up to the hospital every night and bathing her,
spending time with her spoiling her and praying
for her before she leaves. Last night was the first
night that she was not able to go up at night but
had gone during the day instead. The nurses said
Moriah was really out of sorts last night and they
had to call someone to rock her. In other words she
is getting wonderfully spoiled for her mom's goodnight
touch. What a beautiful little angel. I was sad to hear
that she was not happy but overjoyed to see her little
personality develop. Praise God, He has held her in His
Hands from the beginning of time and continues to
sustain her and provide for all ofher needs. Thank
You Everyone Who Is Praying With Us!! Thank You Father
That You Love Us And Her Or Prayers!!! WE LOVE YOU LORD
P.S. She loves her new butterfly curtains that Cheryl
made for her, thenurses say that she stares at them a lot.

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, 6-21
Moriah continues to do great. Her stats are still
perfect and her weight is holding at 7lbs. 4 oz. so
we need to pray that her weight will continue to
increase. Her ventilator has now been turned down
to 10. The doctor will bring it down another number
every week until he gets it to 4. At that time he
will gradually take her off of it until she is off
completely, then they will do a sleep study to make
sure that her stats stay up and then, what we are
all praying for...she will be able to go home. Praise
God, let's keep her covered and uplifted during this
time. Cheryl would love for her to be able to come
home but knows that she would rather do this gradually
and is very happy with the doctors care for Moriah.
Cheryl and her family have been reading to her and
now there is a T.V. in her room. Cheryl's daughter
says Moriah was watching cartoons the other night.
She is wonderfully spoiled and we should be getting
new pictures soon, Cheryl is working on it now with
the help of a friend. She has had a little trouble
with her scanner. She has some pictures of her in
her chair and being held, as soon as they are
developed they will be sent to the Special Needs
site, if you would like to see how pretty God is
making her. We Love You, Lord! Thank You for
hearing our prayers, and to everyone that is
praying we all thank you from the bottom of our
heart. You are all part of this miracle!

UPDATE: SUNDAY, 6-25
We have a wonderful praise report for Moriah,
and we would like to thank everyone for their
prayers on this. Since her last update when we
specifically asked for prayer for her weight
gain, she has gone from 7lbs. 4ozs. to 7lbs.
9 ozs. in just a few days. The nurses couldn't
believe it and they even weighed her twice.
Thank you so much for your prayers and please
continue to lift her up before the Lord for weight
gain. Also there are more praise reports for
her. Her stats continue to stay good. Her
ventilator is still set at 10 but will be
turned down to 9 this week. She had her
immunizations with no problem at all which
was a concern, and she has a new nickname,
"Squeeky" because she is starting to make
sounds over the ventilator. We think she's
either talking to the baby next door or
imitating the baby, but it is an awesome
thing that she is beginning to do this. She
is becoming more vocal than ever, and
also she is beginning to swing at things
that Cheryl holds over her, specifically
the other night was a McDonald's butterfly.
They will be starting Physical Therapy on
Monday and will begin to play with her to
help her develop her cognitive and social skills.
She is sucking her pacifier very good now and
Cheryl says if she doesn't want it, she puts
it in the side of her cheek or pops it out.
Her nurses continue to take excellent care of
her and even put a dress on her on Sundays
and tell Cheryl she's dressed for church.
Pretty amazing, huh? for a child that was
given no chance of survival at birth, but
then we serve an AMAZING God!
Please pray that her Trach and G-button will
completely heal because there is still a little
drainage. Wow, as I write this praise report
with so many things happening in her life, and
I think back on how she looked before her heart
surgery, I am truly humbled before the Lord at
His Awesome Power and I am so thankful for all
the brothers and sisters in Christ that have
been praying with us. It truly glorifies the Lord
because this is what He has called us to do,
to bond together in love for all of His children
so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for
your prayers as I know Cheryl and her family do
too. Thank You Lord for the body of Christ! Thank
You Lord for loving us and hearing our prayers.
We love you Father.

UPDATE: TUESDAY, 6-27
We have another praise report for our little angel.
She is changing so fast, we can hardly keep up
with her. Moriah's weight just since I typed her
report on Sunday, has gone up to 8lbs.1oz! Thank
you so much for your prayers!
She will be having physical therapy daily. We
specifically need to pray that she will learn how
to swallow food. They will be working on this by
stimulating the roof of her mouth. This is a
"biggie." We would love for her to be able to
taste foods and eat on her own, so please keep this
in prayer. Also, Cheryl is requesting prayer for
her head shape to form properly as she grows. She
has had a little bump that Cheryl has been praying
for and it has gotten better. In the back of her
head, she has a place that we are praying will be
smoothed out and formed properly and prayer is
needed for her ear to be formed completely new in
Jesus Name.
Cheryl is asking that we pray for complete soundness
and wholeness of her mind, hearing, eyesight, and
all of her functions. We are already seeing
wonderful changes that we never thought possible but
we know that the Word says with God, All Things Are
Possible, so let's join together in love for our
littlest sister and call forth complete healing and
wholeness. I will be going to see her this week so
another report should be out in a few days. Please
visit the Special Needs Site to see her newest
picture and more should be coming soon. God Bless
You All! We love you Lord and give You ALL the GLORY!

UPDATE: TUESDAY, 7-4
I went to see our little angel this week and got to
hold her for the first time. She is sweet as sugar.
I loved just gazing into her eyes and praying with her,
thinking of all that God has done in her life. We
Praise You, Father! She continues to thrive, her weight
is just shy of 8lbs. 7oz. Her stats continue to be
excellent. They have turned her respirator down to 9
and will be going down to 8 this week. She is doing
fine with that. She needs continued prayer for her
weight, healing of her G-Button, and for complete
wholeness of all her senses. She has learned to get
her hand up to her mouth to suck on it, she can't
quite get her fingers in yet but close enough to
think it's there and she just sucks away. I know
when she figures out how to master this, it will
be her favorite past time. She's trying very hard
and it's so cute. She's a little beauty. Father,
we thank you for the blessing of her life that has
touched us so, and brings your body of Christ together
in love to pray for our little sister. We Love You,
Lord. Please say a little prayer for all the children
in need. After visiting the hospital and seeing the
critical care children lying in their cribs (and some
rarely have a visitor) it makes my heart just cry for
them and I am asking that we please remember them too.
God Bless You All!
ADDITION:
I just talked to Cheryl and she said when she called
the hospital this morning, that the nurses told her
that it was decided not to turn down Moriah's vent this
week and that her lungs sounded a little coarse. We
need to press in and pray that her lungs will clear
up completely so that they can continue to wean her
off the ventilator. She also requested prayer for her
jaw, that it would be extended and that she would learn
how to swallow so she could take a bottle. Also the
doctors goal for her weight is an ounce a day so let's
specifically pray that God's glory would be revealed
to the doctors of the power of prayer and the Almighty
Power of the Lord to hear and answer His children's
needs. And I have a special little request, that I
would like for you to join with me in.....please, that
Moriah would have the Lord's guiding Hand to get her
hand or thumb in her mouth....she's trying so hard,
and maybe it would help with her sucking and swallowing.
Thank You Everyone For Your Prayers! God Bless......
and love to all.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, 7-6
Praise God, they decided to go ahead and turn
down Moriah's vent to 8 after an earlier decision
not to turn it down. Each week they will be
decreasing it a number to wean her off altogether
so she hopefully she won't even need the Trach. Her
stats are still at 98% to 100%, so let's continue
to pray for strength and wholeness of her lungs as
she goes through this process. They have changed her
feeds to 3 hours on, 1 hour off, hoping to gradually
get to 4 hours between feedings. This will stimulate
her appetite and enlarge her stomach. She still needs
prayer for her jaw to be extended also. This is all
part of getting her able to eat on her own. Her
G-Button is healing nicely now.Thank you for your
prayers.
She did get upset with Cheryl the other night.
Cheryl came in with all her clothes and things to
put away, and walked past her saying, 'Hi Baby
Girl" but didn't stop. The next thing Cheryl said
the nurse came over and said, What in the world
did you do to her?" (She cries more with facial
expression than sound) She was all upset that Cheryl
had "ignored" her to put away the clothes. After
Cheryl started talking to her and came over and
held her she was fine. She is definitely developing
a little personality of her own. What A JOY!
Again, we thank you so much for your prayers.
Thank You Heavenly Father, We Know You Hear
Our Prayers, Our Faithful Father...We Love You.
