A POEM FOR MORIAH

Isn't she beautiful!.
He will rest in His love.....zeph 3:17
I am lifting Moriah up to the throne
of God. I stand in agreement with
you in prayer and by the promises
and authority of the scriptures, in
the name of JESUS, and by the same
fire and glory of the Holy Spirit
that rose Jesus from the dead. His
will be done!In Jesus' name,Lisa

UPDATE: MONDAY, 7-31
Praise God!! Moriah is 10 lbs. She went
from 9lbs.4oz. just last week to10 lbs. I
am so overjoyed. We know God is moving in
a miraculous way in her life. Lord, we
thank You!! We Praise You!!
Also her stats are at 100% and her vent
will be turned to 4 tomorrow. That is the
last number before they start weaning her
off to go home. PLEASE PRAY that she will
have the strength in her lungs and the
stability to be able to come completely
off the Trach. We are looking forward to
her homecoming with excited anticipation.
God has been so Faithful!
Also God has answered my prayer about her
getting her thumb in her mouth. She was
putting her whole hand up there and putting
it in her mouth. Last week when I was there,
she was really focusing on her hand and over
and over she was practicing getting her thumb
up there. I saw her put it in once and said
Lord, please help her. Cheryl says now she
is putting her thumb in her mouth over and
over, then looking at it like it's her new
best friend. She is so happy with it. Thank
You Father. Cheryl said that the nurse noticed
Moriah trying to flip over so she decided to
put her on her matt on the floor with a blanket
and said Moriah went to town, scooting herself
all around with her hips. Cheryl said she put
her on the matt last night to see what she was
talking about and said she was all over that
matt. I love it! She is changing so much. She
really looks beautiful and she is getting all
new hair too. We are working on getting some
more pictures on the site so please watch for
them. There should be a few more updates this
week, as the appointment with the doctor for
them to discuss Moriah's plan for going home
will be Thursday. Let's all join with them in
a mighty way as the time gets close. Thank You
for your prayers. Thank You Lord!

UPDATE: FRIDAY, 8-4
I talked to Cheryl yesterday after they visited
with Moriah's doctor, and this is their plan for
Moriah in preparing her to go home. Praise God!
It will take a little bit, but thank God they are
addressing all of her needs. PLEASE PRAY for
continued guidance and wisdom for all of her
doctors and care-givers, through the Loving
heart, mind, and hands of Christ.
Next Tuesday, they will be taking Moriah off of
any oxygen to the Trach for 30 minutes at which
time they will be placing a heat collar on her
that will provide moisture, and filter the air.
If she does good with this (and we know through
God's Word that she will) then they will be
taking her off for another 30 minutes later in
the day. As she continues to get used to this
they will be increasing the times until they can
get her off completely. Praise God! Her doctor
says that he is pleased with the way she has
progressed and said that he felt she would not
fail coming off the Trach, describing her as
"robust." LOL I told Cheryl she takes after her
Mama, pressing forward to what's ahead.
Her stats have stayed at 100% and in 3-4 weeks
they will be doing a study where they will be
checking for any scar tissue or granular effects
left from the very beginning of her being on the
vent. If they detect anything, it would have to
be removed with laser. PLEASE PRAY for NO scar
tissue.
Also, the doctor was surprised to learn that
she has been sucking on those green spongy peppermint
"things" (if you've ever been in the hospital you will
know what I'm talking about). The bottom line for this
is that they are feeling like it's time to start giving
her something to eat. In order to do this, they will
have to do a swallow study to actually see where the
food goes when she does eat and that she would not
aspirate. PLEASE PRAY that she will be able to increase
her sucking and be able to swallow correctly without
aspiration. It is the desire of my heart for her to
get some real food. When I see her sucking on the
green sponge, my heart cries out for this need to
be met and I KNOW God is ABLE to meet ALL her needs.
Moriah is getting more mobile and the nurses think
she is trying to flip over. It is such a joy to
see her growth. PLEASE PRAY that her growth in
ALL areas continues, and that she is able to
sustain her breathing and continued progress
through all that is ahead. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
As I type this, my heart goes out to each and every
one of you that ARE part of her miracle life. I know
the body of Christ joining together and calling out
to Our Father in Heaven must bless His Heart, because
He longs for that fellowship with us and He is being
SO FAITHFUL to us. Thank you from all of us to our
family in Christ. Thank You Abba Father!
Beautiful 10 lbs. 2 ozs. of Miracle
(The best is yet to come, Praise God!)
UPDATE: TUESDAY, 8-8
Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!! Moriah
was taken off the vent today for 40 minutes
this morning and she did so well she slept
through it. Cheryl said that is really good
because sometimes they get used to the vent
so that is when they would have trouble and
"forget to breathe," but she did perfect. Her
stats stayed right around 100% also. They were
going to take her off again at 4 p.m. and I
have not talked to her again since then.
They also started her back on formula and
she has tolerated that just fine, so they
will be increasing that and the time off
the vent. This is the first step in getting
her ready to come home. Thank You All SO MUCH
for your prayers during her little 'bout of not
being able to keep her formula down. They were
checking for a bowel obstruction, or thought
that the tubing had adhered to her colon, but
Cheryl said around noon on Sunday her condition
completely turned around like night and day. All
they found on the x-ray was some acid reflux,
even though earlier they had seen bile in her
tubing. PRAYER WORKS! Let's continue to pray
for her growth and continued strength of her
lungs so she can go home to be with her family.
She really enjoyed visiting with Elizabeth
(Heartseeker) but I really couldn't tell you
who enjoyed it more. LOL... It was really
beautiful to see Elizabeth get to hold this
precious little miracle and tell her all
kinds of stories. But my favorite was the
lullaby's that she sang to her. I was ready
to crawl up on her lap..LOL Thank You Elizabeth
for loving these kids with all your heart.
Thank you all for your prayers.
Thank You Precious Jesus!
Lots of new pictures to post. Should be up
in a couple of days. Please come back and
see her whole story with pictures. Heartseeker
8-8 MORE GREAT NEWS!!!
Moriah Found Her Thumb!!!! Praise God!!!!
I just talked to Cheryl and she said the doctor
came up to see Moriah, saw her chewing and sucking
on her thumb and decided she was ready for food!!
Cheryl got to fed her applesauce today for the
first time!! She will get to be fed 3 times a
day and also Cheryl just called and said that
they told her she can start introducing Moriah
to the bottle tomorrow. This Is SO GOOD..Answer
to prayers! Cheryl described her reaction to the
applesause as something simiiar to "Shark Attack"....LOL
She loved it. :) I am so happy! Praise God!!
Also she was off the vent again this afternoon
for 1/2 hour. She did great and her stats stayed
perfect.
One thing that I forgot to add earlier is that
Moriah really flipped for Elizabeth..LOL..literally,
she knew that she was on one side of her bed
and she worked her leg and arm over a few times
until she flipped right over facing Elizabeth.
It is so awesome to see her changing and doing
these things daily and the doctors gave her no
hope when she was born...Thank God, there's Hope
In Jesus and He will never give up. Thank
You Lord!! We love You!!!
