Nolan

UPDATED: 8-25-03

Nolan went to be with Jesus yesterday. His mother said he went peacefully and was able to talk to her until he passed. They are very grateful for your prayers and need more than ever now. Nolan was only with us for two weeks but he was part of our family and we feel his loss. Thank you for every prayer sent up. His mother said that he was so happy to know so many people were praying for him and they received great comfort in that knowledge.

God Bless,
Elizabeth

Nolan is a 9-year-old boy who was diagnosed with an inoperable and malignant brain tumor in November 2002. He is currently undergoing an FDA-approved Phase II clinical trial which may help save his life.

He was just released from the hospital and is weak.

Today:

Nolan got off to a rough start this morning. He woke up complaining of tummy ache, and it wasn't long before he began vomiting. This could be an indication of increased hydrocephalus, but I am hoping it is just the aftermath of his recent ordeal. Fortunately we had some phenegren at home and I dosed him with that, as well as an I.V. push of decadron. After sleeping for a couple of hours he felt a little better and was able to eat some yogurt.

He had very little energy today, but he did manage to color part of a picture and play one round of 'hangman' with me.

Hopefully he will be able to eat a little bit more before bedtime. Thank you once again for all the prayers, love, and support! It means so very much to all of us.
