Taylor's Guest Book!

UPDATE: 5-3-04

Note: Taylor was with us less than a month but I will miss her and my heart aches for her family as we rejoice in her going to be with Jesus. Thank you to all you lifted her up in prayer...Elizabeth

Today, April 30th,at 9:05 p.m. Taylor peacefully passed from the loving arms of her parents and family into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.

Today was a very special day and was spent in the company of many loved ones.

To all of you who have helped us through this journey, we thank you. To all of you who were there today to help us, we thank you.

I know what all of you are thinking and we want you to know that we are fine. We have been blessed with so many gifts from God. The most important one was Taylor. He has helped us every step of the way and has provided for many of our needs. Today is no different. We are at peace with Taylor's life and we take comfort in her passing by knowing that she is in Heaven, no longer in pain, no longer unable to walk, but completely whole once again. Free to run and play and sing and dance! I have no doubt that she was welcomed with open arms and will soon be helping to run the place.

We love all of you and wish you the comfort and peace that we have. Trust in your faith and trust in God. If you believe that there is a place called Heaven and it's as wonderful as they say that it is, then do not be sad that she is there. She deserves the best and she got it.

God bless all of us,
Amy

UPDATE: 4-27-04

Taylor’s stats are the same in the 80’s , heart rate is in the 30’s – 40’s. Taylor is resting comfortably. Please keep the prayers coming.

UPDATE: 4-22-04

I talked with Amy tonight and Taylor seems to be about the same. Her heart rate has dropped into the 40's . She is alert at times and still is able to communicate by shaking her head. Keith said she seemed to be more irritable today. Once again the family wishes to thank everyone for all the prayers, calls and support. This is one tough kid.

UPDATE: 4-20-04

NOTE: We will be scheduling warriors to be in prayer for Taylor. Our goal is to have prayer for her 24/7. If you would be willing to take a time slot for prayer, please email me your hour of choice. As I get the times schedule, I will let you know what time slots are remaining. We have seen what God does when we come together in this way. Taylor is very critical and time is of the essence. Please respond quickly to this prayer need. A child's life depends on it....Elizabeth

I went to CHKD this evening to pray with Taylor. I met the family. Mom's/Dad's and grandparents on both sides of the family. Taylor is blessed to have such a loving family.

Taylor is a beautiful young lady. It broke my heart to see her just laying there. The family is at the hospital most all the time. I will be going back up to pray with Taylor next week. I feel that round the clock prayer is need for Taylor to bring her out of this. She really needs a miracle. Can you see if round the clock prayer could be arranged? I really feel an urgency in my spirit.

Thank you,
Cheryl

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to send a quick note to let all of you know that Taylor is resting comfortably. She has periods when she is awake and we are right there by her side. Grandma Jean has been spending the nights with her so she is not alone except for shift-change and when the docs do their rounds. When she is awake she is still able to nod or shake her head, give us the "thumbs-up" and squeeze our hands. Once again today she bopped her head to the music! I tell you, with everything else that is going on, the fact that she can stop and appreciate music! What a kid! When she is awake, we ask if she is in pain or uncomfortable and she shakes her head no. Thank you Mr. Morphine for that. Her oxygen sats have been in the high 80's and low 90's. Her heart rate has dropped into the 40's to low 50's and as a result, her temperature has dropped to 96.5-97.5 degrees. We are not sure if her heart is just tired and slowing down or if the high doses of Morphine are a contributing factor.

We are all still hanging in there and praying for her all of the time. Thank you to all of you who are doing the same. We would also like to thank everyone again for the wonderful support that we continue to receive. To those of you who we don't get a chance to call as often as we would like, we are sorry. We spend most of our time taking turns to be with Taylor. We know that you all understand but we still feel bad anyway. We all have been blessed with the most wonderful families, friends and co-workers. Thank you for all that you have done and all that you continue to do! Your support and understanding are insurmountable. May God bless Taylor and all of us!

Love,
Amy

Taylor is still fighting the battle, but her sweet little body is tired. When I spoke with Paula this morning she said that they believed that Taylor's organs were beginning to shut down. Her stats were staying between the 50's and 70's.

I spent last night at the hospital with the family. The grandmothers were telling Taylor stories, and remembering all the good times they spent with her. Late in the night Grandma Jean said she was thankful for being allowed the privilege to be a part of Taylor's life, I have to tell you how privileged I feel for being allowed to share in all of their lives. I was one who questioned my faith during hard times, but this journey that Taylor has been on has not only taught me but a lot of others that I have talked to that God does show us the way and he is there for us during the good and the bad. I am now a true believer in miracles, the power of prayer, faith and fate. Amy and I have talked about that cold November morning in 2002 that we first met standing in line at a Radio Shack. We had seen each other at school when she would be there with Taylor, but we never really had a conversation. For some reason God put us together that morning and I am glad that he did. It wasn't two weeks later that I found myself standing in the school office when Taylor was brought in that Friday the 13th of December. I know that had I not met Amy in November I never would have gone to the hospital that night, we never would have become friends. I truly feel blessed to be allowed the honor of being a part of their extended family. I told Amy not to long ago that when I grow up I want to be her, she is truly my hero. The courage and strength that she ( & the entire family) has shown is remarkable. In the very beginning the family said that they wanted to do what was best for Taylor, they wanted her to be comfortable and as happy as she could be, they were going to concentrate on the quality of life more than the quantity. If you don't know them personally, I want to tell you that as someone they have given the honor of being a part of their lives, they have accomplished what they set out to do. This child is as loved as any child I have ever seen. This has been a difficult journey not only for the obvious reasons, but these were divorced parents that have truly put aside any difference they might have had to work at giving their child the best they could. Truth be known they are all heroes to me and to many others.

Please continue to pray for peace and comfort for Taylor and her family as they continue on their journey.

God Bless,
Mary Capone

ADDED: 4-13-04

Taylor is ten years old. About 16 months ago she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that is cancerous. The doctors have not given much hope. They have done pretty much all they can do. She also had a stroke.

Prayer Focus:

Quick Total Healing
Lungs to be restored to normal (lungs have filled up with fluid and the Doctors stated that she now has RARDS, not sure of the spelling)
Organs to be restored to normal (The organs are trying to shut down)
To come off the vent.
Tumor to shrink
Cancer to be gone
Strength/Healing to her complete body.
Wisdom for all that are caring for her Protection
Life to be restored in abundance

I will keep you update as I receive information.
