Now theres nothing there to hold the jaw so when he try's to eat his mouth goes in a circle motion .That and only a few teeth makes it really hard for Tyler to eat .We haven't heard from john Hopkins in Maryland yet hoping to hear soon musc hospital has all the paper worked signed and said that they will have all the paper work done and sent to Dr. Redett next week then it will take them a while to go over them and let us know if they think they can help Tyler .Please pray about this. UPDATE: 10-9-08 Update from Tyler tuckers family Just got back from musc .I think Tyler's going to be going to john Hopkins hospital in Maryland .Ashley signed releases to day of records.so I pray it all works out .letter I received from john Hopkins hospital is pasted at the bottom of page ,Tyler's in a lot pain in his neck hes own strong meds and his leg is hurting .we go back to musc I think its the 15t. Dr. Redett, Dr. Tufaro and possibly Dr. Rodrieguez of Johns Hopkins Hospital may be able to help Tyler. Dr. Redett is a pediatric plastic surgeon, Dr. Tufaro is an oral surgeon and a plastic surgeon who specializes in cancer of the head and neck. And Dr. Rodrieguez is also a plastic surgeon. All 3 surgeons have a great bedside manner and are willing to help Tyler. They would need to see Tylers medical records prior to scheduling an appointment . If you can get a complete record of his history, past surgeries and any recent CT scans or MRI's. They would need to see the actual studies (CD OR FILMS) not just the reports from the scans. UPDATE: 9-24-08 Hi Tyler surgery went ok he was in surgery about two hours thirty mims.Dr oneal took out a piece of medal And three screws .He said we may have to bring him back and do more because his jaw may hurt worst.He said to bring Tyler home Ashley knows how to take care of him.His jaw doesn't look to good.Last night Tyler told me not to worry he said its ok nanny I don't mind.It wont hurt bad.He then gave me the biggest hug .I love him with all my heart Doctor Oneal said that he had been own the phone hrs trying to find some one that could fix Tyler's jaw but hasn't found any one.They wont take the medicate.He said that hes not giving up on Tyler that hes going to keep trying.He said that he could go back and take a hip or rib and try again but it would fail so he doesn't want to do it.That is also what doctor Marx was going to do and doctor Oneal says it just wont work for Tyler this has been 29 surgeries for Tyler.With out some one taking the Medicaid at south Carolina rates Tyler wont get a Doctor to fix his jaw its really all about money.This is getting worst every day.I fear for the worst Tyler needs a special surgeon not a cancer doctor.The cancer is in remission but the after math of the cancer monster is all full.We are left with know where to turn.Isn't there just one doctor out there that would help this child out of the goodness of there heart.I pray we get some answers before its to late for my little Tyler.We have Contac Medicaid and yes they will pay for us to go some where.The thing is they wont pay what that states Medicaid pays so they wont take Tyler.Please pray about this and for Tyler his jaw is hurting really bad right now.Tyler's having to take really strong pain medication.Thank all of Tyler's angels that love and care about him you know who you are we love you all so much.Your prayers and support Is why Tyler is here today.God has listen to every one of those prayers . PLEASE KEEP TYLER AND HIS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS UPDATE: 6-18-08 Hi every one Well we went to see Doctor Oneal yesterday.Not the best of news ,I took Tyler in my self to see the doctor.The stitches in Tyler's neck was what was making his neck hurt.The doctor removed them with Tyler's head laying on my chest I told him not to move at all and it wouldn't hurt so he didn't he was as still as he could be.We got through that ok.Doctor Oneal told me that there is nothing else that they can do to help Tyler that there are no more opinions.He said that Tyler was going to have major things come up in the future.Tyler's bone from his leg that was put in his jaw is now started dying.Tyler will be facing many jaw replacements as he grow.He also said that he is ready to wright a letter saying that they have done all they can for Tyler.That they don't know how to fix Tyler's jaw.He said he would talk with any doctor,s that thinks they may be able to help Tyler.Please hug your child and say I love you each day because you don't know what tomorrow will bring.CANCER IS A MONSTER. Things will get better,( I hope.) .We got him out of Greenville hospital where he was admitted and put on IV'S.Tyler was scanned, then we were told he had two spots in his stomach.Said they didn't understand why he was hurting.(You know what the first thing we thought...his cancer was back).So we took him to MUSC hospital in Charleston,where he was admitted for a couple days .Getting iv's and they gave him stuff to make him pee because he hadn't in about five days.Tyler was still hurting and getting morfen pain medication. Here is what they said.the doctors at MUSC said that Tyler had taken so much pain medication that every thing inside his intestines was hard as rocks .Said that this must have caused a infection.They told us that they were going to scope him but they never did. I never heard of such a thing so I called a nurse that I know she said that this is possible. Tyler is still hurting and we don't know what to do .He has been through so much with the cancer that it has really messed his little body up .please keep him in your prayers.Tyler hurt so badly last night, he cried him self to sleep. The doctors are saying he may need to get surgery if he has a blockage in his stomch. He has been throughing up some much that he is now dry heathing. He is in quite a bit of pain, and crying often. The doctors have also said they have found a spot in his stomch, and I pray it's not something bad. Please pray for Tyler he is going through a pretty rough weekend thanks everyone! Jermey (Tyler's Uncle) UPDATE: 4-12-08 Hello every one We finally got the date of Tyler's surgery it is in six weeks on June 3rd.8 o'clock At musc hospital of Charleston .Dr Oneal said that he don't think Tyler will be there more than a day or to.It s according to how Tyler dose if he will have to stay longer.I sure hope they don't do this and send him home the first day.This is a major surgery when they have to cut his jaw open.They will cut his jaw again and scrap the bone down so it isn't sticking through his skin.and hurting him .Tyler's jaw is affecting his speech we are having to ask him over and over what hes saying.He has a hard time eating.Doctor Oneal's office make Ashley sign saying that they are not reasonable for scaring or if they should hit a vane and something happen to Tyler.This will be twenty seven surgeries for Tyler. Please keep praying for Tyler and our family -------------------- We just got home from a two day stay in Charleston so Tyler could see his doctors.This isn't good news at all.Tyler's got to have more jaw surgery.The bone is just about to come through the skin and doctor Oneal said that he has to do something. Hes setting up surgery and will call us to bring him .Poor baby I wish so much I could take his place and make it all go away for him.Tyler looked at me and said nanny get my xbox and the movies ready looks like ill be stuck at this hospital a while.They said he shouldn't be there but a day or two .That it depends own how he dose.then he will still have the ear surgery in June .Ashley said they don't want to do both surgeries together it may be to much.He still can not hear in one ear.Doctor Oneal did say he was talking to doctor Besty Davis and see if she wants to do some of her work while Tyler is in surgery. We want hear from the leg xrays for a few days .I pray that the spots are nothing.Soon as we know something I will post it UPDATE: 4-2-08 Please put Tyler own the prayer list . They found a new spot in the top of his leg . We are going to musc of Charleston For Xray and scans today. Please pray that the cancers not back . Hes all ready suffering so much From what all the cancer did to his little body . UPDATE: 3-19-08 The oncology clinic doctor kerveckers office.said that they need to look at the the spot that has showed up in Tyler's upper leg scans.said it may still be a fracture .doctor gross says its not .Any way they want us in the cancer clinic some time on the 27th while we are there .They are going to ex ray the leg and try to find out what's going own .its the leg that keeps hurting him. we will will get up about four get ready and leave here by five thirty .Go get his new brace and shoes .leave there go to doctor Besty Davis office ABout two .when shes finished go to the cancer clinic and then down to Xray .when we finish with that we will leave and drive back home.takes us about four hrs .we will all go so we can help each other with baby's and drive . I will take some sandwiches. UPDATE: 3-5-08 Hi everyone Tyler was taken to Rutleage towers at musc hospital yesterday.To see what to do about his leg.we were told to take him to ex ray about four hrs after being at the doctors office.He has another fracture in his leg and the screw has worked its way partly out.We have to take him back own the 11th and 12th to see what they are going to do.and when.They have him own strong pain medication And have sent papers to home bound him with school.He will have to have another surgery own his leg to fix the pin or take it out.He will have to have a cast and a new brace.We were told that his bones are so sofe from the chemo and radiation that he could fractured it at any time any way.After 4 hrs there and 4and haft in Dr Grosses office with two baby's screaming we are off to Oncology Doctors.For a check up that was pretty quick.Then down to get blood work.Tyler cried all the way he wasn't wanting stuck with that needle.I told him to be strong that it had to be done we have to make sure his cancer hasn't back.He looks at me and says nanny I will try for you but it hurts so bad.Made me want to cry.We end up having to hold the poor child down he was fighting so hard.This is what he will go through all his life.So then we got to start home.Getting back here about nine last night. We want to thank Steven for sending us the two hundred dollars for gas and food.We appreciate you so much.Thank you for always being there for Tyler you truly are one of Tyler's angels.I really don't know what we would have done if you hadn't sent gas money.All of Tyler s money is gone Used up own these trips and things he really needs Thanks to the lady that put 10 dollars in Tyler's pay pal account.He has only thirty eight dollars left in it. Own our way home Tyler said nanny.I ask what he wanted and he said I just wanted to tell you I love you.That made ever thing I do worth every mim every ride.all the long hrs sitting with him.I want to thank God for such a wonderful strong child and thank God I was chosen to love and care for him.I would do it all over and be right there to pray and hold his hand through it all . UPDATE: 2-29-08 Ashley got in touch with doctor Gross office was told that they would try to get Tyler some stronger medication .That if he gets to hurting really bad that we have to take him to musc of Charleston ER where his records are.said that he has to see doctor Gross who want be in the office till the twelth.getting me pretty upset .they said that we need to keep him comfortable.it worries me that maybe that leg will get infected.or that maybe thers a broken bone in it .he is walking own it but says it hurts and some time he cry's .you can feel the screw loose.they muct think we live next door to the place.it takes money for gas and food when you have three small kids.But we have know chouse but to do as they say no other doctors want to touch Tyler leg because hes had so many surgeries on it by . Oops they just called back said that we need to be there Tuesday morning at 1030 Guess they decided. he needs to be seen.he will be seeing Dr grosses partner UPDATE: 2-20-08 Hello everyone Tyler was out of school all week with the flue .Hes doing better now. Has returned to school .We received a letter that Tyler would have to repeat the first grade.Dr kervecers office called and canceled Tyler's appointment so now we wont go to see the oncologist, and to get his blood work till they call with a new appointment.if they don't call soon Ashley will call them .We have a appointment with with Dr gross on the 12th of may .About his leg and jaw .He sits own the couch and wants me to rub his legs.His jaw doesn't look to good .Hes having a lot of trouble trying to chew his food.Thank you Mrs Myers and everyone at Tyler's school .you all have been wonderful to help with special treatment that Tyler requires .fixing his food for him .Getting some one to tooter him .Thank God that hes not in a lot of pain and is able to attend school. I pray for Tyler and all the other kids ever day.We don't understand why our kids have to go through so much .I know that God has big plans for this strong little boy. For the ones that don't know Tyler cancer was in his jaw and spread to his lungs he lost a jaw bone and a uper right part of his lung .He has had to have the febila taken from both legs to try to replace his jaw bone .It has not worked.He still has no hinge in his jaw.and has a bone sticking out of his jaw.It is covered with skin.Tyler has had twenty six surgeries and will have a life time of doctors needles and surgeries .Thank each of you for your kindness .and being TylerS angels.We love you all and appreciate all that has been done to help Tyler and his family.One more thing I want to think god for lettering me know all of you.God has been with our family through it all.if you know god all thing s are possible. UPDATE: 2-5-08 Hello everyone Tyler has had a great week.Hes not had a lot of pain in his legs or jaw and seems to be doing really well.And has been able to atend school last week.Hes also getting tooterd to try to catch him up with the other kids.Hes still in therapy.I thank God for Tyler. Tyler and our family got to go to the circus.Tyler had a great time .He was smiling the whole time saying nanny I love you so much for bring me here.I told him to always thank God and that Sue and Steven, his angels had took there money and paid for him to go enjoy the circus.Thank you both so much.This trip to the circus will be special memories.ones that will never be forgoten.Go look at photos and look at Tyler's smile.one happy kid. We just got back from musc with Tyler .They say that he is death in one of his ears said that we need to come back for another visit and that he will be having surgery in the summer to see if they can make him hear better.we have appointments with the cancer clinic on the 18th of feb. Also have four more appointments.I don't have the list right in front of me.He has been doing great but has started with his legs hurting and his jaw again .He will see Dr gross I think that is also feb .They put him back own strong pain medication again.Tyler can not sleep at night just lays there his mom makes him go to bed but he has a real hard time getting to sleep.Hes so sweet he puts his little arms around me and says I love you nanny Melts my heart .Hes really skinny .His little face is not any better .I don't think his last surgery done any good He says his leg hurts and the brace hurts him but at times he jumps around like theres nothing wrong. [I really think that hes hipar].Other times hes crying. I want to tell every one that I need prayers for Tyler.God hears all your prayers. I called flash at courageous kids yesterday and she was with a family of a three year old that had passed away From cancer.Made me think of how lucky we are.no one wants to see there child suffer.Tyler has had a lot of pain and suffering. That little boy could have been ours. God has decided to let Tyler stay here with us for a while.I realized that Tyler going through all this has led people to Jesus.That doctors have learned so much .Now because of Tyler they help other kids. Sorry I couldn't update sooner.I want to tell you that I think Christmas was one of the best that the kids have had since tyty got sick.I want to thank God for all the wonderful friends that not only care about Tyler but care about our family.You all have been with us for four years.what a blessing.That you all care about what has happen in our lifes.I want to thank each of you.Your kindness will never be forgotten.First sending prayers. There was all kinds of gifts anough that made it a wonderful day.I remined the whole family of the meaning of christmas and that it was jesus birthday.I want try to mention all by name sent things from games to cars to ride own toys for the babies.Gift cert for Tyler and transformers ,a coat for Tyler and pjs for all three kids.There were pants and shirts for all the kids.I known I haven't gotten it all down ,There were blankets for all three boys I know each stitch was stitched with love.There was just so much stuff.It all came in plenty of time for Christmas.The boys had a ball opening every thing The cancer society even gave Tyler's name to some one and they also got for the kids.Happy days sent gifts.Johnson and Johnson of Charleston sent money for gas and Christmas.Tyler deserves all the happy ness that he can get hes sure suffered anough.We went in the kids room and went through there toys and put then own the curb.Hoping that some one in need would stop and get them.I will add some new pictures soon.I want to try re do Tyler's page soon.Please know that we love each of you sooo much Tyler will have app again in Charleston in January . Started off with Nathan and every one of us has gotten it .Its yucky. Tyler is doing ok he can now take a few steps own his leg but still needs his brace to walk .I guess its just going to take a while .His little face still has the bone out one side is still pulling His face sideways. I cant tell any differents than before his surgery .Don't know if he should be put through that any more. That's not up to me Ashley has to decide .I do not that god has been with us.I always just keep my faith . Well heres the news about Tyler Our plans have all been changed again .it wont be necessary for us to go to Charleston this week .appointments have changed again now Tyler is going to be seeing a doctor here in Greenville Dr Fogel she is making the peace that is to be implanted in to Tyler's mouth. She will have to put him to sleep to make this Fit his mouth..Then own Nov 12th he will travel to musc hospital to have it implanted by Dr bBesty Davis and Dr Fogel on the 13th.We don't know if it will be a one day or how long . Tyler's little face is still looking pretty bad .The bone still sticking out own one side.They are hoping that this in his mouth will help some with his eating and looks. Things are starting to look up Tyler is feeling better.but he still can not walk with out the clam cast own his leg .The Drs don't know why he can not walk .said they don't understand .They wont to give him a while to see if he will start walking .I pray that he will start walking soon . He is growing up so fast! We are gonna throw his party at a local small amusment place which was paid for by a wonderful man named Steven from New York. We will be doing that Sunday 7th instead of his birthday, so everyone can be there. We are also going to do Jayden's birthday party since he didn't get one when Tyler was having his surgeries. We also want to thank everyone else that's continued to support Tyler through all this! It sounds like a exciting, and wonderful weekend for Tyler, and I can't wait to see it. We took Tyler to MUSC last weekend, and they gave him a new clam shell brace. He still can't walk without a brace we hope that this changes soon please pray that it heals ASAP. He won't be getting his next surgery (on his ear) till next year. The doctors said that would be best due to all the radation, and chemo Tyler has gone though. I personally think he needs a break too. It's been quite a ruff year for the little guy. Please have hope for these young children, and show your support. He seen Dr white on Monday and he said that he thinks he should wait till may to do the operation on Tyler's ear.He said that Tyler's jaw isn't well and he thinks it will only make things worst.he said that because of the chemo and radiation it was going to take Tyler a long time to heal .his little neck still has the bone sticking out and he still hasn't gotten in school yet.he also got the clam shell cast on his leg .He still can not walk with the cast off but seems to be doing well with it own .Hes still having some pain but that also is a lot better.we Sure wont to thank god that Tyler is doing better . All these trips and food really cost a lot round trip its eight hrs.thank each of you that have help us .we love you all .Tyler will be having his birthday party thanks to a kind man named StevenHe A wonderful caring person . Tyler will see the doctors to set him up for the ear surgery, also He will have therapy all week .He still can not walk with out the brace .Then they called and said he has a fractured bone in the leg he just had surgery own.that's so odd that legs not hurting .its the first leg that they operated own that hurts and he can not stand own . We are staying in the camper in Charleston .since Wednesday .Tyler has seen three doctors already.Dr Grose said that he thinks in time Tyler will walk .we ask for him to send tyty to another doctor or scan his leg he told Ashley he didn't think it was necessary He said that the pain will go away it will just be longer for Tyler because of all the chemo and radiation .he is seeing Johnie the therapist at the camper.she said she thinks Tyler needs scans of the leg done said she was calling the doctors.also doctor Davis said that she will wait to put the mouth pice she made for Tyler mouth till he has the ear operation.she will go in the operation room and place this in Tyler's mouth to hold his jaw over and to help him with eating .we will see doctor white on the eleventh to find out what he plans to do with the hole in Tyler's ear drum and when that surgery will be .he then goes for cancer scans on the the seventh he has to be put to sleep and this takes all day .please pray for Tyler he still can not walk and he can not hear well he is having a lot of pain in his leg. Our God is so good God is able to heal Tyler. UPDATE: 8-23-07 Hi Everybody, I wanted to let you all know about what is happening with Tyler Tucker. I talked to Darlene this morning and she is so busy with his many doctor's appointments that he doesn't have time to update his site. She has asked me if I could let you all know what is happening. She has had no time to update, make phone calls, etc., because of all of the appointments and having to run back and forth from the hospital to home. Yesterday, they found out that the reason that Tyler hasn't been able to hear properly since his surgery is that he has a broken eardrum in one ear. Can you imagine? He has only had this problem since the surgery but they will not admit that the surgery caused the problem. He will now need more surgery so that they can try to correct this, but he may now need to wear a hearing aid for the rest of his life. He has to have another hearing test in 2-4 weeks to determine what his options are. They may have to put tubes in his ears. He also was fitted for a special leg brace, as he was unable to walk. When they got it yesterday, he still couldn't walk, and they found that there was a lump on the inside of it and that there were problems with it. They had to hurry and make him an emergency leg brace because they had to immediately return home for more appointments today. The second one seems to be working better and he is able to walk a little bit better. Tyler also is wearing some type of mouthpiece and they are making him a custom wire brace for his mouth that they will have to permanently attach into his mouth. Tyler is housebound for at least a month for his schooling, as they are worried that someone could hurt him by being rough. You know how kids are! This poor little guy and his family have gone through more than most adults could bear in a lifetime. Darlene and Ashlie have asked me to ask everyone to please pray for Tyler and to sign Tyler's guestbook as often as they can. They count every single guestbook entry as a prayer. Even though they are so involved with appointments and they haven't had time to update the site, they ask that we please keep checking it and signing. Prayers & Hugs, Colette UPDATE: 8-17-07 Hi everyone .well we are looking for a tiring week coming up. We will leave Greenville Sunday to return to the camper so Tyler can go to his doctors on Monday .He has three appointments on the 20th . Then two on the twenty first .One of these appointments is to see whey he can not hear out of one ear.Then we have to leave Charleston return to Greenville for a app With doctor Fogell on the 23rd .She will be making some kind of perment fixture to be implanted in Tyler's mouth .I don't know why they are having this made in Greenville. WE can not get them to do anything else in Greenville.Except that Dr Fogel will be helping doctor Davis and will be traveling to musc to help place this in TyTys mouth . Them we must leave Greenville return back to Charleston on the 26th He has to have scans on the 27th .He has to be put to sleep for his scans.so it takes all day . Tyler will be having bone scans and mri .Then we will stay in Charleston till 31st when they will once again take Tyler and implant this `what ever it is into his mouth .Then we will leave Charleston go back home and stay till the 6th then we have to be back in Charleston for more appointments on the seventh . Through all this complaining I guess I need to stop and just thank God for all the miracles that he has given TyTy .Am one to tell you that prayer works .That your prayers has saved Tyler. God has heard all your prayers .God has been with us and will be . This is not the end our little Tyler he has a long way to go . He is doing good .Hes playing and smiling ..HES A TROOPER God is able . GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU AND WE LOVE YOU ALL UPDATE: 8-3-07 Please pray for Tyler his jaw replacement tomorrow at musc of Charleston UPDATE: 8-8-07 DARLENE AND TYLER Hi Tyler is doing better .he is healing ,thank god and thank you all for the prayers , We had a lot of appointments but some were concealed. He Tyler went to see doctor Oneal and doctor gross , doctor gross put a nother cast own his leg and he has started walking .He had scans and was to see his oncologist at cancer clinic but that was all canceled and they want to see him on the 20th 23rd.twenty seventh and on the seventh of sep.so he has a lot coming up we are back at home a few days but our camper is still in Charleston .Because we still will be needing to stay there for a few weeks.Thank each of you we couldn't have done it with out you all .Thank you all so to Steven for giving tyty his puppie he really loves it and as you said it gives him a reason to stay strong .But just remember that he is better . We thank god for that .we still have a ways to go so please keep praying .god hears those prayers . We will be heading back to Charleston before long so Tyler can keep all his doctor opponents .we can afford to drive up there for each appointments . We are conformable in the camper. UPDATE: 8-2-07 Hi everyone .new photoes in photoes.just look at that smile Well Tyler did good with the surgery Friday . Guess what he went to the doctor today and the graft has come off .Will have to be redone .we got to come to Greenville today but will have to return to Charleston on Sunday for lots of doctor appointments next week and to see what they are going to do about the bone sticking out tytys neck .He still can not walk .Still having pain but not as bad as it was .The neck looks a lot better . We still don't know how long we will be staying in the camper in Charleston .just depends own how well tyty dose .He has a nurse and theorist coming to the camper to try to get him better and walking .First I want to thank god and all the wonderful people that have helped us from paying for our camp space to bring water to the camper. .I haven't been able to update there was no Internet at the camp ground for days shes suppose to be getting it fixed .please keep praying for Tyler .Hes got a long ways to go . This was a big step toward getting him well. DARLENE AND TYLER UPDATE: 7-24-07 Well Tyler was seen at doctor Oneals office . Hes headed to surgery 27th . The bone is coming through his jaw .Doctor said he didn't know why Tyler jaw shifted . Dear lord this little boy has got to be the strongest kid in the world .They will be drafting skin and trying to cover the bone on Friday .While he is in the operating room . Tyler is in a wheel chair and can not walk . He crawls to the bath room and around in the camper. Poor Ashley was at the doctors all day today . She really home sick .poor Tyler having to go through all this .I wish I could just do it all for him .only god can help Tyler .so please say a prayer for Tyler hes had a lot of pain .we don't know how long we will have to stay at the camper and in Charleston .its hard to sit there but we will as long as it takes /I want to thank all the angels that have been coming to visit and helping us to be able to stay in Charleston with Tyler. I CANT BELIVE THEY LET HIM HURT TWO WEEKS BEFOR THEY EXRAYED UPDATE: 7-17-07 Hi everyone Well Tyler not feeling good at all. Hes hurting in his leg and can not walk .His theorist thinks that something happen to Tyler leg in surgery .Its the first leg that they operated own. He cant not stand own it it turns sideways when he tries to walk and hurts really bad .She said that she don't no if its broke or what has happen to him .The theorist said that something is wrong she is calling the doctor because Tyler screamed when she tried to get him to walk.his neck the doctor said is ok but boy it really looks bad .He is own a lot I mean a lot of pain meds . If his leg is broken i Will really be pitching a fit ,some one would have had to pick him up by it to have broken it .maybe not knowing it all ready had the fibula taken out of it .he also has a two inch spot on his butt that looks like he was laid own something .he didn't have this when he went in surgery .please keep praying for tyty hes really been through some rough days.Hes a strong little boy God has been with him all the way . UPDATE: 7-7-07 MIRACLES DO HAPPEN, EVERY DAY!!!! Hey Tyler is out of the hospital and staying in camper .He is in a lot of pain. He has to be close to the hospital .He has a feeding tube in nose .His jaw has a really bad cut and is draining on his jaw .His mouth is wired shut .His leg is cut from the nee down .And is in a wheel chair he can not walk.The other leg is hurting worst than the one he had cut .He Will have a nurse coming out to camper .And a therispt.He will have feeds delivered for feeding tub .He will be going to see three different doctors Monday .Doctors say we must stay in Charleston till Tyler s jaw is unwired and feeding tub is out of nose .They don't like sending them home on a nose feeding tub.So we will be her for a few months .AM all ready home sick .But I will stay with my tyty no matter how long it takes .We are just trusting in God and know that things are going to be ok .please pray that Tyler will be better soon .at least the surgery is over and hes still with us .Thank you jesus. It was a blood clot, and it took roughly 4-5 hours to fix that. He came back looking pretty good. We where very worried about him going back, but he came out fine. They doctors told us that it should be uphill from here! Which is wonderful news! June 28: Tyler seems to still be doing well. He has cried once when they changed one of his tubes, but overall he has done well. They may have to insert a feeding tub into Tyler, and Fix his blood flow monitoring. This may require him to go back in the surgery room, but is shouldn't be too dangerous for them to fix. When I got to visit Tyler (Jermey uncle)... I asked Tyler are you ok, and he shook his head "yes" I felt so bad for him, But I'm so happy he is ok. This has to be one the most stressful few days of my life, and my entire family. You just have to sit, and pray the doctors don't call in with horrible news. I told him I loved him before I left. This boy has to be the strongest person I've ever known. I know some adults would give up through all this, and it's got to be even harder for a small child. I'm so happy Tyler is ok that's the most important thing to me, and our family. Everyone was surprised to see Tyler respond to our questions in the condition he was in so positively. I also must say I'm proud of the doctors at MUSC they did a wonderful job on Tyler. Please continue to support Tyler! Please pray that he doesn't have any more complications or infections. We are look forward to seeing Tyler getting out of MUSC, and back to playing like a normal UPDATE: 6-27-07 Hello everyone, Darlene called from the hospital. Tyler went through 12 hours of surgery yesterday and went back into to surgery for most of today. He is in ICU and will remain there for 4-5 more days at least. He will be in the hospital for several weeks and then must remain in S.C. for several months afterward. The doctors really have discussed details of the surgery or prognosis with the family at this time so I don't have a lot details. Darlene as asked that you please keep him and his family in your daily prayers. I will update again when I get more information. I know God will be holding our hands all the way Also its jayden birthday own the 27th Day after tytys surgery .I was wondering if some of you might send him a birthday card .that's about all he will be getting because we will all be at the hospital with Tyler .please storm heaven for Tyler UPDATE: 6-1-07 HI everyone , We made the trip to Charleston yesterday ..Tyler was sick and has been for three days he hasn't eaten now in three days and has run a fever .He was taken to the doctor last week she said virus again .Said that she was getting worried .[PLEASE FOWARD TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS FOR PRAYER ] As we started out to get in the car yesterday I saw a butterfly flying toward the car .Then as we got in I saw a new butter fly. We drove off it looked as if they were flying behind the car .{AMAZING } Dr Gross said that he will be in the operation room on the twenty six with Tyler he said that he will put a pin in his leg that will stay the rest of his life. He said that Tyler's surgery was going to be long .Tyler stayed snuggled up to me all the way there and back .he started asking questions about his surgery .He ask if he was going to have more scars and then he ask if they were going to cut his neck in the same scars that were all ready there.I tried to answer his questions as best I could .I tried to tell him that he would be sleeping and wouldnt know anything till he wakes up.You can tell hes worried .He started playing with my hair and looks at me with those great big beautiful eyes and says I love you nanny.I then hugged him tightly and said I will be with you and mommy .God will be with with all of us. This is really going to be hard .Tyler will have the fibula taken from his leg and placed in his jaw.we are praying that it will work this time .He all ready has one bad leg from the first surgery . Hurts all the time .He doesn't have a hinge in his jaw and the doctors don't seen to know how to build him one .Don't know what they are planing to do about that .They plan own wiring his mouth.This will take between 10 to twenty hrs. We will be taking a road trip to musc hospital on the 31st and back again on the 4th of June so Tyler will also miss the last day of school . He will have his surgery on June 26th .This is going to be hard I am so worried about Tyler .I just pray that every thing goes well that he Will get through .Its all in gods hands .am amazed at the strength this little boy has.he is truly a hero. A true witness to our lord .I was moved to tears last night when he was telling my daughter in law that he was going to have surgery and he says that they are going to cut my jaw open and my leg .Then he smiled and said I will be ok .My nanny and mama will be with me and my nanny ask god to take care of me. Thank all that keep supporting Tyler with your love and prayers .we love you all UPDATE: 5-1-07 TYLER IS SICK HES BEEN TO THE DOCTOR AND TO THE ER .THEY SAY EAR INFECTION .BUT HES BEEN RUNNING A TEMP FOR 4 DAYS NOW AND CAN NOT KEEP THE MEDICINES DOWN CALLED THE DOCTOR AND WAS TOLD WHEN WE GIVE NEXT DOSE IF IT WONT STAY DOWN TO TAKE BACK TO THE ER .AND TELL THEM HE NEEDS SHOTS OF THE MEDICATIONS .PLEASE PRAY FOR TYLER HIS TEM IS 101 TO 102 DARLENE AND TYLER UPDATE: 4-30-07 Hello .Well we are back home from Charleston .A little up set because they keep saying the same darn thing .They had Ashley sign the forms for Tyler's surgery and said that they are Sceduling it .As all ways they will call in a few weeks.Doctor oneal said that they are going to have to Contac doctor Day and make sure every one still agrees with the whole team.This was already suppose to have been done He said that they are worried about hitting the nerve in Tyler's jaw and that this would be bad .Tyler would really be messed up for life the surgery will take at least sixteen hrs and could take up to twenty four hrs .He said also that there are only 2 or 3 other doctors in the world that have performed the surgery that Tyler had on a 2 year old so the don't really have a guide to follow.That this surgery was going to be a rough one.I ask if Tyler could die having this surgery and he said yes .That Tyler may not have a trach but would have his jaw wired .That he will be using the fibula bone from the other leg unless something changes before surgery.He said that while in surgery they will get the doctors to remove the pin from the first leg they done.He said that Tyler needs something done.If you don't do it, he can't eat or breathe correctly if you do it, he may die or be paralyzed..plus he will be in pain the rest of his life.....and the Doctors don't agree on the treatment! Poor Tyler.....I wonder why his leg is bothering him so much?? He also said that he knows Tyler was hurting but he don't think this will take all the pain away .He said that Tyler will always have some pain.He is having trouble eating he chews and his hole jaw moves in a round motion ,He has to gum most his food.But has learned to eat a few different things .He has only a couple teeth and the roots are all dead and they are going to come out in surgery also. I told doctor Oneal that I think they need to get something done. We are tired of going to doctor after doctor. being told the same thing .That we live a long way from Musc hospital and that it takes a lot of money to travel there.and have to stay two three days .That they have been planing this surgery a long time now.I think that they have held off doing the surgery as long as they can And Tyler is really having a hard time with all this.This trip in gas was ninety dollars and the motel was sixty nine plus food for two days.Now we are home waiting to see what they say next And waiting for the surgery date . I pray that the surgery will help him .That they get everything arranged this time.Tyler really needs something done.am calling tomorrow to try to get a motel at hospital prices. Well I need prayers also for me I know that you all may think AM crazy to have done this but I have taken a another child into my home .it is a new born and belongs to my granddaughter ,shes not able to care for it right now . I couldn't see it left in a foster home .it was in there a month . I went to court and got temporary custody .I don't have much but I have a lot of love and can give this child a good home.and share what little I do have. It is five week old little boy .His name is Justin Nathan Burnett.I prayed a long time before I decided to do this but I feel in my heart it was the right thing to do .I no it will be hard .when I picked the little fellow up he was sick and we had to go to the ER .He was put in The hospital for 4 days.Had a bad virus, tempture.Tyler all ready loves him .Jayden just smiles and can not keep his hands off the baby.well just wanted to ask that you all pray for me that god will guide us in all that we do with Tyler and the new baby.Tyler standing here telling me to tell you all he loves you.We appreciate all you do for Tyler and our family . DARLENE AND TYLER UPDATE: 4-20-07 Tyler cried all night with his leg hurting wasn't able to go to school.He tried to chew a rice crispy treat and couldn't do it his jaw is getting worst he says it hurts him.Took him a very long time to eat the treat.He will be seeing doctor here in Greenville Monday.still will go to Charleston on the twenty six.About his jaw surgery.Thank all the ones that have put money in the pay pal acc.Thank you for helping Tyler and his family.Thank s for all the cards and gifts Tyler looks forward to the mail he loves it. and appreciate it all.please most of all pray for Tyler and our family that's the most important thing . UPDATE: 4-4-07 Hello every one. We are not going to see Doctor Oneal tomorrow the 5th We have a new appointment on the 26th. Tyler is sick and been at the emergency room all day he s running a fever 101, and coughing really bad. He cant hardly breath he was put back on his breathing treatments three times a day and was given steroids and cough medications. He's still on his pain medication for his leg and jaw the doctors had to give Tyler stronger medication for his pain. Tyler had a appointment today with Shiners for his leg but we will have to call and get a new appointment. He stays sick a lot and he has so much more to go through we just got to get him well so he can see the surgeons. His little face is looking worst each day and hurts him. He tells us not to touch that side of his jaw. He don't even want us to wash his face. He cries most every night with his leg hurting. Tyler is in gods hands, and I will just trust in God. I know that some day Tyler will be well again. Tyler finally got to go to school a full week. He loves his teacher Miss Couch She's so good with him. He's learning a lot. UPDATE: 3-15-07 Hello everyone.sorry for not updating sooner.Things have been wild around here.Doctor Oneals office called and changed our app to April 5th.That was a good thing because it gave us a little time.I haven't been feeling well maybe by then I will be able to make the trip.we may have to stay in a motel because we have to be there early that morning about 7 ,Tyler's not in school hes been out 3 days legs hurting and hes seeing a doctor here today.I feel so bad that they will be taken the bone from his other leg to do the jaw replacement.Theres just no other way.The bone needs to come from him every where else is to little.I even ask if they could use my feblia bone I would give it to Tyler but was told no.Please keep praying for Tyler and our family.We went to a car show to help raise money for Courageous Kidz Tyler was given a electric wheel chair FROM CORVETT WORLD AND COURAGEOUS KIDS.To use after he has his surgery.Tyler was worn out and didn't make it the last day but papa and I went for him.Please pray that I keep my health so I can be here for tyty and Ashley I really don't know what they would do with out me.I guess they would manage.I just worrie so much about them and Tyler has so much more to go through.Pray pray pray .God hears those prayers. My mom passed the year Tyler got sick so I was thinking a lot more about her yesterday.shed a few tears.But aim ok. wanted to tell you that baby Jayden is doing great hes so sweet and crawing now.Hes a mommys boy.Tylers a nannys boy for sure.I MAKE SURE THAT I TELL BOTH BOYS I LOVE THEM EVERY DAY. Hug your children,tell them you love them every chance you get. Remember that children are a gift that is given to us and we need to Make every moment a memory and never take anything for granted. Tyty is loving all the cards he loves getting mail.when hes a little older we plan to start sending thank you to each one that has sent mail to Tyler. it will take us a while he has recived a lot and so appercates it, UPDATE: 3-9-07 We just got home at ten last night from seeing doctor bock,well one more time things have changed.The men that they did the protean bone on are not doing so well so they don't want to try it own Tyler .They said thatTylers ribs are to small to use and his hip bone is to small also .So they want to take the Fibula bone from his other leg.Said that is the only way.Except to wait till he was older.But that he needs the surgery now that his face will be sideways that he may not be able to eat with out hurting.They now say that we need to go to doctor Oneal on the 22nd and that he is setting the surgery up for six to eight weeks.At the end of April.that everything is in order. This is going to give Tyler two bad legs but he will get where he can walk again.Its so sad ,hes had so much trouble with the the first leg bone being taken out and had so much pain.Had to use a wheelchair and a brace.Therapy for a long time.That leg has a pin that has still got to be taken out.They think this bone will most likely live in Tyler jaw.First time they had to use radiation and they want use radiation this time. All I can do is trust in the lord and know that tyty will be ok .Its all in gods hands.We have been to Charleston three times last month.That's seven hrs round trip. Its just so stressful and gas and food cost so much.we cant aford a motel room.Trying to save what I can for the surgery.we will stay in Charleston as long as Tyler is there.When they give us dates of surgery we are taking the camper down to stay in.Please pray that Tyler will be ok .Storm heaven for him.we know that prayer is the most inportant thing.pray that god will take care of all our needs finacally.For I know god is able.I will trust in him. also pray for me i havnt felt well in a while doctors say i have Sleep acme.Maybe ill feel better when i get treatment.had test a few days ago and they called said i neeed to come back to get set up for machine.Iam just so tired and worn out . We have appointments From some of the Doctors but not the surgery Doctors. We have appointment at the endocrine Dr's on April 25th at 10 o'clock And another app at 10,30on the same day with the opthamology.Doctors.Then they want to scan tyty again on July 24th .He just got scans so I don't know why but we will be there.I want to thank God we have had a hard journey.we have been really down ,but God has whet our hands and when we need gas food or a place to stay God has always pervied .He has blessed us in so many ways.Thank you all you have been with us on this journey.God hears all those prayers I feel that you all have helped in so many ways ,Tyler may not even be here if you all wasn't praying so hard.So please keep praying we are only haft way.Tyler will not give up and I will never give up we will win the devil will lose this battle Tyler is a strong little boy . Tyler is doing ok .We will head to musc hospital for scans Thursday will be all day trip so keep us in your prayers . Gracie is yet again back to throwing up again, her stools have been having a real foul smell, and she's been fussing alot. Paul called the Dr. today, and she wants to retest her stool because she's afraid she has c-diff yet again, although she's still being treated for it currently. The dosing on the antibiotic started out more frequently then we slowly taper off, we noticed a change in her with the first tapering. The Dr. said if she does test positive she will talk to the infectious control folks about it. The antibiotic that she's currently on is very strong, I'm not sure what they would do if it is positive, I'd imagine they would admit her and do I.V. antibiotic. Please pray for her that she get over all these problems permanently. I was laying in bed and I was asking God why this happen to my little man to my little Tyler.And our family.why was Tyler suffering.Having to have all the surgeries.Boy did I get a answer. I think God was talking to me.I heard someone say.Do you relize how many doctors has learned from this little boy .Do you know how many life's will be saved .Do you know how many people have turned to me [GOD] because they know of Tyler and his condition.Ive heard people praying that i never heard before .People know of Tyler and are praying all over the world Tyler is loved so much and look at how strong you and your family have become in your life and faith.I have great plans for this child.I don't put more own you than you can stand and I want for sake you.I have taken care of things.if this wasn't God then my mine was really working overtime.I climbed out of bed and got own my knees and started thanking God .You guys all keep storming heaven for Tyler because I know that God hears those prayers.Hoping to hear from the other doctors about Tyler appointments soon. We appreicate all of you UPDATE: 1-22-07 Hello everyone ,I was going to wait one post after our next trip own Wednesday but decided to go ahead and tell you what this meeting was all about,doctor Besty Davis along with a lot more doctors looked at Tyler,he had a lot of fingers in his mouth ,Tyler ask them to please not push his mouth that it would hurt him .Doctor Davis said that they had a plan and were going to go ahead with the surgery.she said that they are going to build a hinge for Tylers jaw ,Ashley ask. Out of what and she said we had to talk to doctor bock about that in a coupLe of weeks .when we see him so I spoke up and ask when the surgery was going to be a year or two away that they keep saying they are going to do it but it isn't happen and Tyler is getting worst. She said soon, she explained that when they have a case as bad as Tylers that they have to plan that there will be a team of doctors at least eight maybe ten she said that all the doctors has to know every sec of what's going own , who's doing what.if every doctor doesn't agree with everything then they have to start a new plan .She says everyone agreeing with this one so the plan is to do his surgery soon.She said that something has to be done that it is only going to get worst.Then Ashley agreed saying that Tyler was all ready feeling pain and that it hurts some when he eats.his little face has stared drawing Side ways .He also has a surgery that has to be done own his leg again .He has a pin in it that has to be taken out .He woke up last night crying that his leg hurt.as soon as we know more I will let you all know . I wont to try to come up with money to take the camper to Charleston .And get it stocked with food, so that we will have a place to stay and go eat.This would take some of the worriers away I talked to the people at lake air and she said they would give us a discount.It would take a lot off of us if we had a place to stay for a couple of months.we made a trip Friday .Drove there took three and haft hours there and three and haft back it was ten before we got home we have got to go back Wednesday and then go back the week after that.am asking for your prayers pray about all this and God will take care of it I know God has heard all your prayers. He was screaming ,so we had to take him to the Er here in greenville they did xrays ,and his hole in his belly is not closing up and all that acid running out of it is burning him .The Drs said that the place was going to have to be closed and put him on more pain meds. They told us to call musc. We did and they told they wanted to give it one more week to close and that if it didnt we would have to come and let them put him to sleep and close it. They said that it wouldnt take very long to do it.He is still haveing leg pain he cried all night last night with it hurting but the mortrin seems to be helping with some of the pain.We tryed to tape his belly and take him swimming ,but it hurt him to much.I went to church today the service was awsome. We had a wondeful time in Gods house Every one there has tyler in there prayers.I thank God for my family at new life baptist.Please keep praying for tyler and our family.
